From the moment I found out I was going to Disney World it was all I could talk about and think about. Countdowns, any kind of list to prepare, visting the boards, researching anything I could, trying to find anything besides my soul to sell on ebay to add to the infamous "Disney Fund" jar.... if its disney related... I'm into it.
My DBF and I have been wanting to go to Disney for awhile now, but we wanted to wait until we were 21 to go. So after about a long painful year, we have booked the trip for June 12-19, and I am SUPER-excited!!! PS: we actually almost had to re-book the trip if I didnt notice in time I have to take the LSATS the 11th... so after weeks of stressing out for studying for that I get to unwind on the most magical place ever and chill with the mouse
Allow me to now introduce you to the lovely vacationers:
This is me. A cutsey posed picture of me, but me nonetheless. I am a junior in college majoring in communications and integrative media. I am obsessed with the Little Mermaid (it was the first movie I ever saw, and when my baby sister was born I insisted that she could never nap because she had to watch the tape with me) My interests include... cats! (I have three, perhaps to be introduced later), John Mayer, capri suns- although those mega pouches need to come back because those little ones just dont cut it, and of course my boyfriend, Geoffrey!
And heres Geoff, my DBF. Also a junior in college.. we met first week freshman year and have been together ever since. I've had some major difficulties with my parents and he has been the most amazing person ever. Even though he's overly into Batman, hes definitly excited about going too.
Because of the problems I have had, I live with Geoff due to the cost of dorming and he has an apartment. For his 21st birthday his family all chipped in to send us to Disney (!) He has been there 3 or 4 more times than me, and I havent been there since 3rd grade (although I have been to DisneyLAND twice inbetween my 3rd grade trip and this one coming up). Through all my Disney vacations though, I never had stayed onsite. Geoff kept saying how nice POFQ was, but I wanted to have an experience someplace he hadnt already stayed so after much research we picked Coronado Springs.
From there I got a book on Disney, which led me to this site.. and I have been taking in as much info as possible since. I started mapping out meals and what days were dedicated to what park... I never had a chance to do all the planing and do the deciding on where we would go on a vacation, so it was a great feeling picking out what we would do.
I mapped out every parks hours on the days we would be there with the EMH, made a weeklong calander with picture of the park logo we would be at.... I seem to be pretty insistent of my time dedicated to the trip, haha.
After doing some research on the food, we decided to get a Dining Plan. With that options of getting all the TS meals and we are alloted meals each day, we wouldnt skip meals and feel like we always had to get the cheapest thing on the menu to save money. Being college students, its hard to save up for the trip... our only responsibility was paying for things inside the park, which meant all meals and souvenirs. So we figured if all the meals were paid for upfront we would be able to eat at nice restaurants without feeling like we were spending too much and then whatever we have going into the trip was fun spending money.
Here's what we came up with:
Day of arrival- Coral Reef
MGM- Hollywood and Vine with Fantasmic package
Epcot- Princess Storybook breakfast
Magic Kingdom- Tonys Town Square
Animal Kingdom- Donalds Breakfastosaurus
Magic Kingdom- Crystal Palace
MGM- Sci-Fi Dine In
If you guys have any suggestions on better places to eat please let me know! I really dont know ANYTHING about Disney restaurants and picked these places because they sounded most reasonable with my tummy (I have bad IBS and cant really keep any food in me without taking medicine before every meal
) I dont know much about the places in the resorts and whatnot, so your input is really helpful!
Well.. thats all for right now, hope my life isnt too boring to read through
The anticipation is killing me and June is way to far away!!
