My doggie has cancer :(

My little doggie is a long haired chihuahua that is black and white with blue eyes. He is such a little peanut (6 pounds). I love him dearly. He has a tumor in his mouth and the vet said it is most likely in his lymph nodes and will spread. If he stops eating I have to put him down. It is breaking my heart. Thanks guys this is making me feel a bit better. I will miss him so much when he goes.

So sorry! My cat had cancer too. Just want to also say that when the time comes, you can euthanize at home. Most people don't know this. If your vet doesn't make house calls, call around. I had both my dog, who was in heart failure, and my cat euthanized at home. (About 5 years apart.) I think it makes a huge difference to them. We did it in our livingroom on their beds. They couldn't have been more comfortable. It'll also be much better for you as well. I know it's hard to think about right now.

You absolutely need a hug. Our fur babies are part of the family. Hugs for you and your little one. All of us parents of fur babies completely understand.
