My dog was attacked-question????

We had a situation when I was younger, where a neighbors dog came to our house up on our porch and our dog a Bullmastiff attacked it. My Dad took the dog to the vet and paid the entire bill. Our dog never left our yard he was territorial about our house. But my Dad felt it was the right thing to do.

Your Dad sounds like a great guy!!! This is an instance where I would think it would have been the neighbors issue since they couldn't keep their dog in their yard. But your Dad stood up and did what he thought was right. Wish more people would do this!!!!!

OP: I hope your dog is ok, and that you guys have a WONDERFUL trip!!! The neighbors should absolutely pay the entire vet bill and thank their lucky stars the dog didn't attack a human instead. It would have been much more costly!!! Please file a police report just so things are on the record. I think it is incredibly irresponsible of them to have prior knowledge of the dog's violence and of the inability of the electric fence to keep the dog in the yard and not take steps to correct either one. Sounds like they should not be owning pets.
