I used to be her favorite person but she has an ear infection and her allergies are HORRIBLE right now so we have to flush her ears with some stuff, put goop in her ears and spray her with some steroid spray TWICE a day. She has been hiding in my closet and she NEVER goes in there :lmao:.

I know how you feel. My cat gets ear infections as she's allergic to some foods. She acts like I'm purposely choosing to torture her with ear drops.

You have my sympathy. My Minky has had a few ear infections and he won't let me near his ears now. If he even sees the bottle of drops come out he'll go up in Christian's bedroom and try to hide under the bed. 'Course he weighs about 75-lbs so his big butt is hanging out

I went through that too with my dog. She was given a prescription that I later read some side effects for. May cause deafness in dogs. The dog that would jump up before someone pulled into the driveway couldn't even hear us calling her name. I took her back to the vet and they said her hearing might come back. It's one of the side effects of the medication. :headache: Luckily, it did come back and I will never use that stuff on her again. We also use a cleaner on her ears and she freaks out if we come near her with the bottle. I think she has bad memories of that other stuff.

My kitty is the same way. If she sees drops or cotton balls, that's it, she's under the bed.

Have you tried to figure out what she is allergic to? :confused3 I found out that my dog is allergic to peanut butter. Every time she eats peanut butter, her ears act up. They get all black gunk in them and I have to use the blue stuff and ottomax (sp?) for a week to clear it up. Some dogs are allergic to their dog food, especially if it has a lot of cereal in it.

A while ago, Hershey (one of my kitties) had to take antibiotics orally for two weeks, and for those two weeks he HATED me! It took me ages to catch him in the morning, then it was a struggle to get him to sit still enough to force the pill down his throat. Every time I let him go, he would look at me with this really evil look - I always felt terrible!

Of course, today they all hate me because we trimmed their claws and they hate that! They've all been sulking for the evening, they won't come out of the bedroom!

My cat hates the kitty toothpaste. She won't let me brush her teeth with the little cat toothbrush, so my vet said to just try and get some of the enzymatic feline toothpaste in her mouth and that's good enough. Right, like that's going to be easy!

I finally managed to get a little of it on her nose and she jumped two feet into the air backwards and took off at a full sprint toward the basement. And gave me dirty looks for hours afterward. Sheesh!!

Now, when she sees or smells that stuff she bolts! And this from a cat who lets me clip her claws, clean her ears and eyes, and generally handle her with no problem. That toothpaste must really be awful! :cat:
