My doctor said it is okay to go in October!!

So glad you will be able to go to Disney in the fall.

I hope that you have a backup plan just in case. If you will be 30 weeks along in your pregnancy, anything could happen to keep you from traveling so far from home.

Here's hoping your trip will be everything you hope!

Make sure you go to Rafiki's Planet Watch and take the "baby" into the Rainforest sound booth. Can you put the headphones over your belly?!? LOL!

I am really happy for you! I am now 25w1d pregnant with #4 and we will be going in October. One thing I have learned traveling with little ones is to know all my insurance coverage while out of state (I see you are in Canada so I have NO clue how that will affect you) and try and find drs or hospitals that will accept that insurance. I have had 3 preemies and already on partial bedrest now with this one. So things can definitely happen. It is just a lot better to be safe than sorry! I have a friend who works at Disney and I had a ped lined up and hospital ahead of time with my insurance. Turns out, DH needed the dr while down there (strep throat) so my friend was of a HUGE help then. Also, it might be safe to carry a copy of your medical records just in case. With pregnancy, whethere it is your first or 4th, you just never know. Not to be the pessimist but with 4 difficult pregnancies, its always a concern of mine... Congratulations EeyoreLoverForever - I too am planning on going to Disney World at 30 weeks pregnant.....it will just be early September for me. But I'm not getting too excited yet....it's like I told our friends we are going with - the doctor could say no the week before and we won't be going. However I'm very optimistic that everything will be great and I will love the experience of having to take things a lot slower. My husband and I have started a walking regimen so as to get me ready - that's an idea if you aren't currently active - I have been so tired that after a day of work and our walk (only about a mile at a very slow pace) I have had it. I have just now gotten enough energy to get started the last two weeks because I had been too zonked.

Just in case you need to change plans at the last minute, with insurance you won't lose too much money. Remember that you need to buy it well-ahead of the date of the trip.

That is a great idea - the travel insurance. It won't help us because our hotel is non-refundable. We got the $20.03 rate at the Courtyard so it wouldn't be too big of a loss. And everything else is cancellable.....hotels, just by 6pm and such. But then we are driving this trip. But that idea should be helpful to a lot of people. Especially the ones like me that refuse to buy travel insurance because I AM GOING TO DISNEY :D Thanks!

... unused days on theme park tickets if they are date-sensitive, additional hotel nights if you have to stay longer due to circumstances beyond your control, airline tickets &/or change fees, all those sorts of things.

You can also buy travel medical insurance if you are from outside the US, but most companies exclude coverage for a pregnancy that existed at the time the insurance was purchased. Travel medical insurance also can cover the costs of things like an air ticket home if your are too ill to manage riding in a motor vehicle for a long period.

I was 32wks when we celebrated NYE2000 with 30 family members. I enjoyed every minute. We took it easy and we went back to the room at lunch so I could nap and swim(which feels awesome when you're huge-its the floaty weightless feeling) Drink tons of water. Watch your feet if they swell, lie down & elevate them. best of luck.
