For some people Disney-itis a chronic condition, for others it’s a mild condition…for me, I am normally able to keep my Disney-itis under control…but I’ve had a recent flare up that I can’t seem to keep in check! I was most likely bitten by the one of those no see ‘um Disney bugs while I was there in October or December. The condition is most likely being exacerbated by the fact that I am going with someone I have never gone with before!

The March Trip

Who: Me and One of My Best Friends
What: Disney and Universal (maybe)
Where: Boardwalk Villas
When: A Wednesday-Monday in March
Why: To experience each other’s Disney

The April Trip
Who: Me and My Boyfriend
What: Annual Spring Weekend Getaway to Disney
Where: Animail Kingdom Lodge-Jambo House
When: A Thursday-Sunday in April

Stayed tuned for more on my prognosis!

ME: :cat: I am in my late 30’s and was initially bitten by the Disney bug in 2008. I think it had lain dormant from my first visit when I was 5, that I have virtually no memory of!

I get up early, go to bed early, like to lots of new foods. I am a big nerd, love reading and learning new stuff. I am in the shadows kind of person (which is why I’ll probably never post a picture of myself on the DIS! There will be pictures though I promise!) though around my friends I can turn into the life of the party.

A few of my favorite Disney things: Test Track, Jiko, Tower of Terror, the Safari, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Mickey, Disney Nerd stuff, the people mover, Food and Wine Fest, and Living with the Land

My Bestie: :stitch:Also in his late 30’s, we began working together a decade ago and bonded pretty quickly. We are nearly polar opposites, and we sometimes drive each other crazy…but we are kindred spirits and often joke about having adjoining rooms in our nursing home.

He likes to go out to bars and parties. Most happy surrounded by a few dozen of his closest friends. He is definitely not a morning person. He likes basic food and will almost never try something new.

A few of his favorite Disney things: Rock n Roller Coaster, Beauty and the Beast, Chefs de France, San Angel Inn, Mickey’s Philharmagic.

Yes, by bestie is a guy…this does not bother by DBF in the least. They get along quite well

The who for the April Trip:

Me and…

My Significant other: :sulley: in the vicinity of 50, has loved Disney since he brought his kids 20 years ago. Appears Gruff andTough, but has a big squishy center. He would prefer to lay by the pool eat burgers for lunch and steaks for dinner…but he humors me…lets me plan, try new places…even when he is sure he’ll hate them.

A few of his favorite things: Le Cellier, The Great Movie Ride, anything in Norway, Pirates of the Carribean; Magic Kingdom Popcorn, the Boardwalk, California Grill, the People Mover, renting Pontoon boats.

Current Plan--March Trip

Arrival Day-Wednesday
Epcot
Rationale: It is the closest Park to the Boardwalk, so we should be able to get our money's worth even arriving in the early afternoon

Thursday
DHS (AM)
MK (PM)

Rationale: BFF does not do well with early morning's but I have convinced him that if he wants to do Toy Story, we will need to be there at opening. Neither of us feel that it's a full day park, so after a rest in the room, we will head to MK for the evening.

Friday
US/IOA (DAY)
On our own (Evening)

Rationale: Originally another friend was to join us and we were heading to US/IOA because he wanted to see Harry Potter world. Now, that friend is not going...but BFF still wants to. In my dreams, I will convince him not to go. BFF also plans on hitting the town Friday night with a friend who lives in Orlando. I will be having dinner on my own.

Saturday:
AK (AM/Tentative)
Epcot/Jellyrolls (PM)

Rationale: I love Animal Kingdom, but BFF can take it or leave it. BFF really wants to go to Jellyrolls, and I do love me a Dueling Piano Bar. I wish they offered food there.

Sunday:
TBD
Rationale: This is currently departure day...more on that later. We will go wherever we feel we haven't hit everything we want to. I am guessing MK.

Current Plan April Trip

Arrival Day-Thursday
Nothing
Rationale: We arrive pretty late...we will head directly to AKL without passing go.

Friday
Epcot
Rationale: We were looking for Le Cellier reservations, and this is the day I got them...but, I'm hoping to move them.

Saturday
Magic Kingdom
Rationale: DBF needs to see FLE!

Sunday
Animal Kingdom
Rationale: As it's the closest park, and we leave this day...I thought it would be best to hit AK.

We are adding one more day! We originally had a two bedroom, and had another friends traveling with us. The other friend can no longer go with us, so we moved from a 2 BR to a 1 BR, and added a day!
