"My Disney Experience" Free Apple iTunes App, August 2, 2012. Anyone else download i

I downloaded it last night and only briefly checked it out. I liked the shopping feature and the dining feature where it will pinpoint the stores for you on a map. I wish it did more than just the meal restaurants though, I'd like it to also include places to get snacks.

I downloaded it last night on my i-pad and was playing around on it awhile ago. It is fun...I like the info it gives on attractions, dining, etc. I would like to use it in the parks on my trip this fall, but do not have an i-phone. I recently got an android, so would try to use it if the app is available for the android in time. However...this phone seems to have an incredibly short battery life. Don't know if it would make it a day in the parks if heavily used!

I have been playing with the new app for most of today. We are arriving in WDW on the 15th of August. I love it!!

Like knowing wait and FP times. Can't wait to do the GPS part too.

I do love having the maps of the resorts. We are staying at SSR and I was worried not being able to find my way around but i think that worry is now put to rest!

need to download it to DH iphone too.

Hoping the free wifi isn't too horrible once we are in the parks.

i plan on carrying my charging cord with me thru the park.

"My Disney Experience" Free Apple iTunes App, August 2, 2012. Anyone else download it?

I just recently came into the modern age and bought a used Apple iPod iTouch 2nd Generation.

I am still playing around with it.

This is the first Walt Disney Would App that I have seen offered by the Disney Company.

It looks like now that Magic Kingdom, and soon the rest of the WDW Parks, is offering free WiFi service.

I think that I have heard that it looks a lot better on a larger iPad screen.

I can see Park Maps and Park Hours and Wait Times thus far.

I see that you can also make Dining Reservations, too.

I like some other Apps that I have bought also.

Any tips from those more experienced than myself?

How does it compare to the other Disney Apps as far as Maps and Wait Times and Information in general that might help while planning and at the parks?

It has some nice maps and fairly up to time waits. Sometimes 5 or 10 minutes out. Haven't looked at all.menus yet.
Character info is still sketchy at best. They listed all characters in mk as asleep by 7:00pm lol!

It requires a lot of data to use it or mobile magic. During the initial release phase the wifi at mk is pretty slow, hope it improves.

you need to sign in with your regular disneyworld.com login if you have one

it has official attraction wait times, park hours, dining reservations, show times, character meet schedules, fast pass availability resorts, maps of parks and resorts

does run quite slow on my iPhone 3G

will be great if the in park wi-fi is up to speed, will be pretty useless if it's not

Rumour is that this will also be used to distribute some of the next gen fast passes too, in some format or another

Could you explain the GPS part. Is this where Disney will know where you are in the park? Will it guide you to a location in the park? Where do you

If this is in the Here and Now section then I will understand why I couldn't find it.

How do I retrieve dining reservations made on this ap? I can't seem to figure it out.

When using the ap are you getting an email dining conformation? I have not but realized that I missed a . in my email address which leads me to my next question......

Can I modify the email associated with the account?

I am having no problems with the app on my iPhone and ipad1. Really like the map. Not sure how linking it to my Disney online account is an advantage. Would me cool if I could see all my reservations from my account.

Anyone know when this will be available for Android phones? I have heard late August but not a definitive date. I'm leaving in 11 days and would love to have this in the parks!

I'm in the same boat, we're leaving home in 4 days. I was kinda hoping this would be out for Android by then. Oh well, there is always next year . .. or, I could have my daughter download it on her Ipod.

I've been playing with it on my ipad. I like it but there are few things that could be better.

When I open it back up after not having looked at it for awhile, it shows all of the wait and fastpass times from before, not the current ones, and I haven't figured out a smooth way of getting it to reset itself. I always manage to reset it but it seems like it takes too many steps.

Also, it doesn't list the parade routes, just says what time they are. I would think it would be pretty easy to mark the routes, would be extra cool if they put a gps tracker in the first float and could tell you In Real Time where the parade was actually at - I think that would be really helpful in navigating a park.

I can't for the life of me get this darn thing to go past the "answer security questions in case you need to reset your password" junk. I answer the two questions and it says "loading" forever and ever and ever and ever until I finally get annoyed and close out of it.

Am I doing something wrong? I don't log in with my email because it tells me it can't find the email and/or password, so I use my username that I use to log onto the Disney.com website with the password and that works. Then I go to the answer question page and from there it's stuck.
