Hello! So the MDE app for my Android was not letting me log in. So I uninstalled and tried to reinstall. That is what Disney has told me to do in the past. When I went to reinstall, the app said MDE is not compatible with my deviceo_O. My FP day is tomorrow! Does anyone know if this is a glitch or if MDE is no longer compatible with Androids (Droid Ultra) for real???

You'll have to use your browser to access the website. Or, book using your computer.

Yes, I will book with the computer :( Was just hoping this was a temporary glitch. I use the app a lot and I know it would come in handy in the parks.

Android users are using the website when in the parks. That's still the best option rather than the FP kiosks. Good luck booking! :)

What erionm said! I actually purchased a new android just for the MDE app. My old phone was over 2 years old though and didn't support a lot of the apps I wanted.

Well,,,I have been wanting a new phone. I could just use hubby's for the app, but not having full control of MDE might make me bonkers!

I used the app on my android to an AK fp earlier since the dinosaur refurb got extended. The phone I have came out in June and it just updated the software a week or two ago.

Use the MDE website in the meantime, it's mobile browser friendly.

So I'm getting ready to go upgrade my phone before our disney trip next month. Mine is dated and battery life is terrible, memory is full, and it's just getting glitchy. I was planning to get the Samsung Galaxy s7. Will this work with MDE? my app worked until yesterday when it started giving me weird messages.

As long as the phone has the most current Android operating system, it will work.

Yes, the S7 works perfectly fine

It's not that the app doesn't work on Android, it's that the app doesn't work on anything under Android 5.0/Lollipop
Also important to note that it isn't just MDX that no longer supports old versions. KitKat (4.4-4.4.4) only receives security updates. Jelly Bean (4.1-4.3.1) and earlier are not supported at all.

I have Samsung Galaxy 5s.. it works perfectly. . Kinda old..

Darn it to heck, I so don't want to get a new phone, I'm just learning how to use mine and I've had it for over a year. I was talking to my honey about this yesterday, he owns a computer support company and told me he could upgrade mine with a hack but it might damage it. I can upgrade for free in April but was thinking of going to WDW in March. Oh well, I'll put off a new phone until I have to, so much for trying to not spend money so I can pay off all my bills and retire early. I just went to the website via my phone and while it's a little clunky and certainly not as fast as the ap. I guess it would do in a pinch. I guess if I were going with my son any way we could use his phone since he just got it.

You might want to inquire with your phone company if they offer an early upgrade option closer to your trip. I forgot why I needed to do that once but it was within a month or two and it wasn't a huge amount of money. Basically you are paying off your phone over the the time until you can upgrade again so many offer a way to pay it off faster and get to your next free upgrade sooner. so the closer to when you get that upgrade you can wait, the cheaper it becomes to buy out the phone and get the upgrade.
