Hello everyone, I am struggling a little with connecting 2 families on MDE and would appreciate some help.

So the two parties are on separate confirmation numbers and in separate rooms. I am trying to make sure that I am connected to everyone so I can make all of the dining reservations, fastpasses etc.

So I connected myself to the "head" of the other group which is my husband's mom. In my family and friends list I sent invitations to the three other members, none of whom had the app. I tried to have my sister in law download it to accept my invitation but I could not link her to the reservations since she is under 18.

So I guess what I'm trying to figure out is how much of a pain this is going to be and how to make sure that everyone from both parties show up when I go to make reservations. I read somewhere that you can make plans for someone even if their invitation is pending, does anyone know if that is true? Last time I went I remember how quickly fastpasses disappear and I do not want to be missing a person in the middle of trying to book something. Thanks!

Do the guests you're trying to connect to have their own MDE accounts? If they do, even if they don't have the app itself, you'll have to connect with them through their own MDE accounts on the website.

If your mother in law "manages" any of those three people (i.e., they don't have their own MDE accounts), I believe she's the one who has to accept the invitation for you to plan for them. And you have to be certain that each person is set to allow you to plan for them and to share plans with them, and you have to give the same permissions to them. And everyone needs to check the box to share PhotoPass photos with everyone else, especially if one person will have Memory Maker.

IOW, in addition to connecting yourself to your mother in law, you have to connect yourself to everyone on HER F&F list who is coming on the same trip with you.
