I'm going to be teaching this class at my LSS in June. This is a sample that is going on display at the store.

This is my first class that I'll be teaching and I'm totally excited! They have asked me to do a quarterly class as the "Disney specialist" --- woooohooo!

WOW! I love that. I can imagine the looks I would get if that were sitting on my desk!

Everyone who would come into my office would say...THAT'S DEFINATELY YOU!

Kudos to you for being the "Disney Specialist"! :Pinkbounc :cool1: :Pinkbounc

Oh my gosh that is sooooooooooo cute! So are you willing to "cyber" teach us??????

Cyber Class!!
When do we want it?
NOW!! (or at your earliest convience, whichever ;) )

LOL, you guys crack me up. Okay! I would love to do a cyber class. Let me put together a list of materials... do you guys need a week or two to get them together, or do you all have Disney papers lying around the house? :rolleyes1

the papers, yes...the rolodex, no. :lmao:
Love it, Joy....very cool idea!

Okay, here is the supply list for the class:

You will need cardstock and patterned paper. Scraps are fine, as each rolodex card is 2 1/4" x 4" and you won't need much. I used 3 diff. colors of cardstock, and 6 patterned papers, but you can repeat pp's or whatever.

Ribbon, fiber, and/or ric-rac - again, scraps are fine as you won't need alot of length. A veriety of 4-6 types is good.

Eyelets or brads - can be plain or shaped

Prima flowers - if you want them... I didn't have any in the right colors

1 sheet MM alphabet stickers (or you can use the MM font stamps)

Additional stickers, rub-ons, or embellishments

1 rolodex (Rolodex “open petite” card file, recommended)

(If you really want to go all out, you can do an A-Z of Disney using one of the larger rotary files, with one card for each letter.... but that is a much longer project)

Tools used:
Xacto knife and cutting mat
Scissors
Stapler & staples
Mickey head punch (large, small, and swirl)
ink for distressing
Chalk (optional)
adhesive (tape runner and Xyrom)

I also recommend the rolodex punch, which will make the slots in the bottom... it's much easier than using a xacto knife to cut out.

You can make yours any theme you want -- MM, Princesses, one for each theme park, etc... it's really up to you! I just stuck with MM for my sample because it's universally appealing and an easy starting point. I plan to make a few more with some of my scraps from my monthly scrap kits. It's a great way to use up scraps and makes such a lovely gift! Especially for Mother's Day, if you have an old-school mom who doesn't use a PDA or cell phone to store phone #s.
