Sorry for the delay, been quite the busy. Now we move onto the Magic Kingdom on December 7th. Well before we do that, we need to change hotels to the Wilderness Lodge. Called bell services the night before and schedualed to arrive at 10AM. They were a little late but only by maybe 10 min. Because it was so slow, the guy took my family and the luggage in his van to the WL to make sure our luggage got there fine. He had to put our stuff on a rack and put the luggage in check.

As we were driving I asked him a question that I never posted about how come the swan has swan statues and the dolphin has carp statues. He explained they are actually mahi mahi and were used to mark the oceans and seas by the old map makers and the swans are used by modern map makers.

Anyway, arrived at WL, very beautiful and quite gigantic. The lobby was huge and lodgish (as it should be). Went to checkin and they had a room ready for us on the 5th floor. Got our keys, went to bell services with the tag and they sent someone up within 10 min. Our room was on the top with the extra little roofs. Below us was the quiet pool, and we saw the villas and trees from our room, plus a little of the lake. It was nice, but it reminded me too much of home.

Went to catch the boat to the Magic Kingdom and on our way, my dd of 5 trips on the wooden walk way and does a face plant. Scratches up her nose :( Got to the MK and my wife wants my daughter to have her hair cut so we wait in line while my dad and son go do the fun things. Wait, and wait and wait. Then as the girl before us sat down, a barbershop quartet walks in and starts performing in the barber shop. It was cool, except everyone including the stylists stopped doing everything. Kind of annoying, but why get aggrivated at Disny. I just kept looking outside at the barn and the apartment upstairs thinking of Walt.

Well anyway, off we go. Went on everyting we wanted to without much wait. Actuall got caught in the parade lines, because the parade was stopped right near liberty square. But it was cool since we saw santa and his reindeer. Later we come to find out, that that was the day they taped the santa float, so the one we saw Christmas day was the same exact float that we saw. That was kind of cool.

We my daughter was getting kind of cranky and my wife was not feeling well, so they were heading back to the lodge for a break and they were going to meet us at Fort Wilderness campground where my dad was staying to have dinner at the resteraunt. So we went on a bunch of rides, even rode space mountain which I have not done since my honeymoon in 1996. Had a blast (plus I kicked everyones but at Buzz Lightyear).

We go to meet the rest of the family at the campground via boat. And as we are approaching the boat I see my wife and daughter at the bow (front for the non-nautical types) they decided just to shop to wind down. Odd how we ran into each other on that boat, what are the odds? It reall must be A Small World (insert groan here).

Went to dinner at the resteraunt. I don't remember the name, but it is right next to the Hoop Dee Doo Review. It's all you can eat with a good variety for a good price, something like 16.95 a person.

During dinner, my New England Patriots were playing the Miami Dolphins in the nice snow here in New England as I sit in Florida in my shorts. Luckily my waiter is a Patriots fan and the bar had it on ESPN. So I got to watch them win :)

Left the campground and got on the wrong boat. Since we were heading to the MK, we decided to Epcot via monorail to ride a few rides and watch Illuminations. My wife shopped as my son, daughter and I went on Spaceship Earth. I love the ride, but it does need some refurbishment. Then my son and I went to Mission Space, went to the restroom first. No line, the longest wait was all the pre-show junk. I was concerned about myself, I love rollercoasters, and things like the graviton (spin quick, stick to wall, floor drops out from under you) When we finished, I had no issues at all, I loved it, but my son was a little off. Nothing like sick, just feeling it a little.

Then we realized that by the time we were done, it was about 5 min for Illuminations, so my son and I booked it (I am no spring chicken huffing and puffing away) to catch up with my wife and daughter. Great fireworks, my son 16 loves the fire torches, amazing the heat those things throw off, no wonder it is warm in Florida.

So wrapped up another great day overall, good weather, maybe a little cool, but better than home.

Part 4 coming soon.
