My Ding obsession

Ok, I currently have really good ding fares from my second choice airport (Hartford). I have changed my reservation a few times now and have lots of credits. Last night a ding came out for my first choice airport (Manchester )I quickly but in my dates for 6 people and it was available.In my haste I went back to make sure I had but everything in right and lost the fare. OK here's my question and probably why this ding thing is stressing me out-once you choose your fare and it shows you the total price are those flights yours as long as you continue putting in your info or are they not really yours until you hit purchase.I get stressed that after I cancel my original flight I will then lose the ding fare. Just what I need a new obsession!

I'm not sure, but I do know I lost a sale price once after I had hit purchase, there was a problem with a character in my last name and it took a minute or two until I figured out how the system would accept it..once I got that I received a msg that the fare was no longer available. If it was me, I would buy the DING fare at my first choice airport and then cancel the other tickets. Good Luck!
