OK, this story made me laugh so hard, I had to share.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) - A 72-year-old man is undergoing a mental evaluation after he allegedly stole an ambulance that went to his house on a medical call.

Sunday afternoon, police said, an ambulance crew was sent to the man's apartment on Laura Lane to deal with a sore throat. The ambulance crew went into the apartment, but the man wasn't found.

They then heard the siren and saw the ambulance being driven away.

The man then allegedly drove the ambulance at a top speed of 70 mph to a pizza restaurant at Michigan and Custer. A Battle Creek police officer found the man inside, and they said he had the ambulance keys in his pocket.

He's being evaluated at Summit Pointe.

I LOVE how he played the siren too, I mean, if you *borrow* an ambulance, you gotta play the siren .

Isn't it funny how all the guys just think this is a great idea?! I love though, that this guy is 72-seems like he may have been plotting this since his teen and he has been just waiting for the right moment....

Yes! It's always guys doing stuff like this! DH and I always laugh about that - like when you see those crazy videos of someone jumping out of an airplane in a lazyboy recliner, or rolling down a hilly street on a couch or a bed (of course laughing and giving the 'thumbs up' - then crashing into a tree)... 99.9999% of the time, it's the male of our species!

Women don't think to do things like this because we need a lot of us women to keep the species going... men, not so much! And now that we don't really need them for hunting and protecting us from saber-toothed tigers (we have shoprite and houses), I think natural selection is taking over a bit more.
