Whispering Canyon Cafe can be fun but just like with the 50s Prime Time, it all depends on your expectations and your server to meet those expectations. I took both sets of parents to Whispering Canyon and they enjoyed themselves and we had some good times. But, they didn't know anything about the place so they didn't have the "fun" expectations. They saw it as another restaurant. Our server was good but was busy with the antics when we were seated so drinks order weren't taken right away. Then we had to wait for those drink orders to come out because of more hijinks. I could see what our server was doing but to the parents, the service was too slow for them. The in-laws are big after dinner coffee fiends so trying to get refills was a chore for them. It was just a nice meal.
We've crossed off 50s because we're usually ignored since we're just two people. That's fine and I enjoy seeing everything else going on around me. But, again, my husband views this place as somewhere he can get a decent meat loaf.
I would say go somewhere else for dinner.
