Yes we are already married!!
But, here's a brief history:
We met, and lived together for 3 years. Got engaged, and were planning a big wedding. Then I found out I was pregnant :earseek: so, we scratched the plans and got married at the court house. My immediate family members all came, at 8:30am!!! I was so sick from the pregnancy. My dad then paid for all of us to go to a celebration breakfast. That evening, DH and I drove  to WDW!! This was in the middle of July, no ressies or plans:rolleyes: We had alittle money(gifts from our relatives) Anyway the point is we missed out on what is one of the most special days in most people's lives! I didn't want the big wedding as much as DH, but I do regret not being able to wear a pretty dress and celebrate our love in front of our family and friends!!!::yes::

So, my DH last night asks me if I would marry him. We have been together for 10 years, married 7 years. We are best friends and are in love now more than ever!! We have 2 beautiful kids and he would like to renew our commitment to eachother. I think it is so romantic!!:lovestruc

What I want to know is would you do it? What is appropiate as far as attire? Should it be intimate, or not? Should we keep it simple? He has dreams of seeing me arrive in Cinderellas coach at the GF!!! Gotta love him LOL!!! Is that inappropiate? Can we do it without breaking the bank? I know I can't go back in time and do it like we wanted to that's why I am just curious what is appropiate for a vow renewal? Anyone do this?

Absoposipoovely! In a second I would. I know people that have had full fledged weddings for a renewal after anywhere from 10 years on up. If you did not do it the first time the way you wanted it and he is up for it I say go for it. You only live once!

YES!!!!!!! I would do it in a second. Your story sounds a lot like ours, except DH was still a senior in high school when we got married. I was a year older and pregnant. Now 13 years later we are more in love than ever. He is my soul mate and my best friend.

We never had the big wedding and have always talked about the possibility of renewing our vows with the whole 9 yards. The invitations, the church (even though we were married by a preacher I would like to renew our vows in a church), the dress, the pictures. EVERYTHING!!!!!

I say GO FOR IT!

This is so wonderful!!! I don't know about costs or anything as far as a WDW wedding is concerned but I hope you have a wonderful wedding and it be filled with the most magical memories ever.

Cindy

I think that was such a *great* thing of your husband to ask you! There are so many men who would not even think of that.

I would think about what you would want to do and do it! You've waited this long to have your big day so go with what you would like to do and can afford. If you can afford the Cinderella carriage then go for it. Congrats!

Go for it, and have a great time with your celebration!

Your husband is a sweetheart for suggesting this.

That is so nice! I think you should have it as big as you want it and wear whatever makes you happy.

What a great DH!! Go for it! Do whatever makes the two of you happy and have a great time!

Who cares what others thing!

I say do what YOU WANT! Carpe Diem!

:sunny:

Oh thank you all so much!!
OK, now I feel it's safe to say I want the big pretty dress!!!!:teeth: I want to feel like a princess just for one day!!
I saw that beautiful pic in fairytinkerbell's siggy and I am so jealous!!! I want that pic of DH and I while I don't want a huge party or anything. My dream would be to do it at WDW. Have maybe 10 people(our closest relatives) and arrive at the GF in Cindy's coach. Then have a small reception, maybe have it at MK during WISHES or Epcot during Illuminations!

how romantic!!!

my DH has always told me that he would love to renew our vows at any time...he's agreed to doing an intimate vow renewal for our 5 year anniversary at WDW!!! i've got 3 years to go...

and you can easily do a vow renewal at WDW! i believe that they would use the same packages as they do for weddings...check out www.disneyweddings.com for more info! also visit the wedding/honeymoon board here on the DIS!

Congratulations!!!!! Enjoy your "engagement"

That is one of the sweetest things I have ever heard. Go for it!!

I bet he did somthing bad and is trying to get out of it

We are doing the same thing you are! Our stories are very similar! We are going to get re-married at the Polynesian. I want us to wear off white linen tops and khaki capri's. I would like to have an island guitarist and have it be very casual.

The only dilemma we are running into is that we would like to invite more people than Disney allows for the intimate renewal. I think I am going to put all the kids in The Neverland Club and then we will have a reception somewhere with them. I will keep our kids out of course. I'm so excited to do this, I can't wait!

I would start by visiting disneyweddings.com and order the planning video and info!! It is INCREDIBLE to see some of the weddings you can have. Magic Kingdom Rose Garden weddings start at 45K. Go for it! ;)
