This will be our first whole family trip to WDW. I have been to disney once in 08 and went two other times with my high school marching band (but I dont remember those trips due to medical issues)
The cast members are Me (Lisa 40) soon to be hubby (Jeff 42) and our kids Don (15), Julia (13), Destiny (11), Gwen (10), Emily (9) and Abby (8).
This will be a first trip for Jeff, Julia, Destiny, Gwen, Emily.
We will be staying at the All Star Music resort from December 20th til December 27th. (First time staying on-site)
This is our ADR's as of now and will most likely not change. We have split the group up so that no fights happen during meal which can happen. Sometimes we eat at the same time but other times we eat no more than 30minutes apart.
12/20: Free day of finding something at HS
12/21: MK Liberty Tree Tavern 5:15pm and 5:30pm also doing the MVMCP
12/22: AK Rainforest Cafe 5:00pm 5:15pm
12/23: MK Crystal Palace 1:20pm both
12/24: AK Tusker House 4:50pm both
12/25: MK Chef Mickey 7:55pm both
12/26: HS Hollywood & Vine 6:10pm 6:45pm
12/27: EP Coral Reef 8:25pm both
We will not be park hopping so we will be eating at the park we are in that day other than on Christmas day when we go to Chef Mickey at the Contemporary.
The biggest thing that might be happening is that we might be making this a Honeymoon on top of a family trip. My hubby has been toying with the idea of getting married on our way down to Disney. (yes I call him my hubby we have been together for over 4 yrs but never made it official) He has been doing it secretly but I have found some of the stuff he has been looking at (guess he should clear the history when he is trying to secretly do stuff LOL)
This will also be a surprise trip for the kids as the know nothing of it. We plan on surprising them the first week of December with it. (would surprise them the day before but the kids other parents will need to be told about the trip and since they cant keep a secret they will be told after the kids find out) We plan on doing a treasure hunt with them with them finding their letters from Santa (8yr old still believes so this trip is from Santa).
Trip is gonna be a bit hectic due to 3 of the kids have special issues. Don (15) has aspergers, Gwen (10) has PTSD, and is mildly MR and Abby (8) has PDD,NOS. All three have major issues with waiting and crowded lines. Thank god for GAC's. They were a life saver the trip i took with Don and Abby. Both me and hubby will have to rent scooters due to both of our medical conditions. Hubby has severe diabeties with neuropathy and cant walk far and I have been diagnosed with MS and walking is getting very very hard to do and balance issues. I know alot of people would say why go in one of the busiest times of the year but hey you only live once and this is one thing on my bucket list is to take the kids to Disney for Christmas.
I will add to this as time goes along.
