:goodvibes Hi everyone!

Here is a partial list of Advanced Dining Reservations that I've lined up for my next trip to the World, November 30-December 8, 2005. I would appreciate your thoughts. I'm on the dining plan though not for all meals. I will most likely need to be transported on a dolly after all this.

Wednesday, 11/30. Touchdown at MCO 10:22 am. Lunch at LeCellier, 1:50 PM; dinner at Raglan Road, DTD (never been), 6:30 PM.

Thursday, 12/1. Breakfast and lunch undecided. Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, MK, 7:10 PM. Attending MVMCP.

Friday, 12/2. No breakfast, MGM day. Lunch, 12:05 PM at Sci Fi Dine-In, MGM (never been). Dinner undecided.

Saturday, 12/3. Co-hosting a meet at Electric Umbrella, Epcot, 10:30 AM; late lunch/early dinner at Teppanyaki, 3:30 PM.

Sunday, 12/4. Breakfast at Kona Cafe, Polynesian (never been), 7:30 AM; dinner at Shula's Steak House, Dolphin (never been), 6:45 PM.

Monday, 12/5. Boatwright's Dining Hall, Port Orleans Riverside, 9:50 AM; late lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe, Wilderness Lodge (never been), 2:40 PM.

That's all I've set up for now. I'm trying to try different restaurants. Because I'm bringing my digital camera, I intend to take pictures. Do you have suggestions for December 6-8? Thanks in advance!

Jim

How about one of the restaurants on the Boardwalk?

Flying Fish and Spoodles are both very good. FF serves a wonderful steak if someone in your party is not a seafood lover. Spoodles serves both breakfast and dinner.

The Boardwalk area is fun to spend time after you eat.

The only question I would have is regarding your 7:10 pm ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern. You will miss alot of the Christmas Party time if you do this, plus it's a pretty heavy meal to then go out in the park and do rides. You can actually get into MVMCP at 4 pm with your wrist band and they have shows in tomorrowland starting at 6pm. I'd think about either moving your ADR way up (5 pm ish), eating counter service (Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland is supposed to be good). We are going to have a 5 pm ADR at Kona's on the day of the party then take the monorail in from the Polynesian to the party. Also, Teppanyaki's has been reported to have limited their menu on the dining plan. Enjoy your trip!

Your ADRS look good. Have you ever dined at two of our favorites Jiko or California Grill ? We ate at both a few weeks ago again and just loved them.

I too wouldn't be eating during VMCP. You paid alot of money for that ticket so you shouldnt be wasting your time eating. If you need an earlier meal, check out what is available at the MK resorts, like concourse steakhouse, grand floridian cafe or if you want characters then Cinderellas at GF, you can check out the decorations there too, or even WCC at Wilderness Lodge etc.

One thing to consider while at MGM- 50's Prime Time. We ate at both Sci-Fi and 50's PT while there and 50's was far superior in both food and fun. Just a thought. If anything, go for the appetizer and dessert and skip the entree! Also, we paid OOP for Shula's on our anniversary and it was the best meal we had all week! :cloud9: Delicious and worth every penny!! Have fun!

Hi everyone!

I called Disney Dining today and made a couple of changes to my ADRs. I cancelled my ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern at 7:10 pm 12/1 and substituted Tony's Town Square Restaurant for 5:00 pm 12/1. This will allow the food to digest before MVMCP and me to tackle the Mountains without a protein spill.

Ron From Michigan: Great game between Penn State and Michigan. Unfortunately the wrong team won. ;-) Thank you for suggesting Jiko and California Grill. I ate at California Grill on 12/12/2004 and found it outstanding (as opposed to insitting). I set up an ADR at Jiko: The Cooking Place, AKL for 12/6/2005 at 5:30 pm.

3princesses: I've eaten at 50's Prime Time at least three times: once each in 2000, 2003 and 2004. I'm looking forward to Shula's on 12/4. Maybe I'll try that big Porterhouse.

luvmarypoppins: I'll probably try one of those restaurants on another date. I ate at Concourse Steakhouse for dinner on 12/8/2003 after the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, and for lunch on 12/15/2004, my last meal in Florida. It's an underrated gem.
