My Deal Fell Apart

That is correct. I don't blame them at all. They have been extremely helpful through the ordeal.

How about this for a complete 180. I just got an offer accepted for SSR for $50 pp on a totally loaded contract. The other one was not. So we decided to wade back in the pool again. I also asked them to check about whether they had a loan on it or not. Thank you everyone.

Here is some pixie dust to get your through this new, great deal! pixiedust:

Well I am now looking at this in a different way. I do not blame the company I am going through. I talked to them today and they told me that the owner would have broken even on the deal but they just stopped paying on the loan after they signed the paperwork. With penalties it started to add up. Oh well we are seeing what is out there now. You are right we were never going to use the points for cruises or ABD so that is not the problem. I am a little concerned that Disney will use this date for other means, but we will see. Thanks to everyone and I will update you on how it is going.
I don't think you have any concern on DVC usage or timeshare exchange options. This likely will work in your favor. People need to go into timeshares with the foreknowledge that things change over time and often it's not going to be for the better.

As for financing, I would assume that if DVC sells the loan, they have the agreement to not release the contract without either clearing the loan or a letter of release. There are no other situations where there is a direct loan link to DVC including HELOC's, CC or other private loans.

If you had read the whole thread you would have realized that I was taking a defensive position against what JimA had to say. I really also wasn't trying to insight trouble, but just debate JimA grinding an axe. I have no problem with JimA, I just don't agree with him on his points here.

I think my discussion with the OP was quite civil actually and just wanted the OP to clarify some points from earlier in the thread.

I did read the entire thread and I know you were talking about JimA (broker problems) but you posted that people are complaining about resale problems and problems should be expected which the OP was the one who started the thread and in your words was "complaining" or at least that is the way I read it.
I agree that the broker is not the problem the sellers were the problem. Happy the OP moved on.

Understood. Was not my intent. I made the mistake of trying to address my points in a cute(smartazz), sarcastic fasion. The complaining part was more the culmination of some other threads here and another board. Believe me i don't have a problem with complaining about a crappy situation. I am in a crappy situation with my contract. I just think that when people complain in a stream of consciousness fasion prior to gathering the facts, they often get it wrong. There seems to be many here that are unhappy with the realty company we are talking about. After reading so many of these threads, the common denominator IMO is more often than not the seller. I also tried to explain why I believe that F&*$^WY has so many contracts with seller issues. They have treated my situation very professionally and have been very quick to respond. While I am sure like any other company, they have made thier fair share of mistakes, I can only echo my expirience with them. JimMIA has maybe had a poor expirience with them and some others here have had a poor expirience with them. I am just trying to provide a counter point with my own personnal expirience. I am not just passing off hearsay. I hope that clarifies my reasoning for getting involved. Sorry to the OP for hijacking the thread somewhat.

I get it and agree! All is good. I have worked with the broker "in question" to and had very minor issues (due to sellers that they represent) and I would not want their job! lol:worship:

I agree... I used them also and had no issues but i had a awesome seller. I guess the broker is only as good as the seller is honest. If they have the intent to defraud or in this case "cut bait" and walk away from their contract with Disney, you are not going to win as the buyer.
