Heck..we also rode for HOURS on our bikes without our parents knowing where we were. When I was in HS, I had to take my sister (who is a few years younger than I) around for trick or treating and we would stay gone for 3-4 hours. At night. In the dark.

I did the same, but I didn't date at 10. No one I knew dated at 10. For that matter, no one I knew even though of dating at 10. We had friends, both boys and girls. We hung out together every day.
