DD is 6yrs old and whenever I punish her she has this amazing way of making me feel quilty.
For instance......tonight she wouldn't get ready for bed when I told her to. So after telling her several times to get ready for bed I finally told her that she wasn't getting her bedtime story as a punishment. Immediately she breaks down into tears and tells me, "Moms are suppossed to read to their DD's to help them learn how to read." Then it was from her, "I have to return my library book in a couple days and the school librarian said mom's had to read the book every single night."
So did I give in and read the story???? I didn't.....I held my ground despite all the quilt that was dropped on me. I gotta say, it was very hard because she really does make me feel quilty about punishing her when she says these statements.
So....any of you have children that do this???? Or am I the only one????
