We booked our trip for New Years Eve and I asked my DD if she would like a new MB+ and she said yes (what a surprise). I showed her all of the many (sarcasm) choices of 13 MB+ that they offered and she said "Where's the rest? Did they cut back on these too?"

Just take her into the big stores in the parks. There is a huge selection of these things for sale.

Shop Disney is a different business than merch. you find in the parks. Products and inventory are different and Shop D and Parks and Resorts have nothing to do with each other.
It surprised me as well when I learned that.

MB+ are absolutely everywhere.

Now if you wanna talk not bulky, no flashy lights, no charging MBs that’s a different situation

I know that they are available everywhere, it's the fact that she brought this up because, from our many trips, that there was always a couple of pages of MBs to choose from with the resort reservation discount and now it is 13.

I assumed that, too, but the comment was simply that there were only 13 bands available which isn't accurate. There are dozens and dozens available through other sources and there are even numerous bands on sale at any given time.
