My DCL Room

Due to conversation on another thread, I realized I don’t think I ever shared these photos here (or I forget), and I thought my DCL friends might like to see them. A couple years ago we were redoing what was our office, to become a spare room/den, and a space for our DS and DIL to have when they come to visit. One DCL table took on a life of its own, and turned into a DCL stateroom….or as close to it as I could get. We have since added a couple towel animals we purchased on board too. Enjoy!

I'm not sure if you can see from the picture but we have "winner" medals hanging from the tv...just where we put them when we win on the ship.

Next time you sail you can order some of the prints from the ship onboard to be sent to your home. They had a kiosk with all the artwork on the treasure available.

Great Idea!

Ironically about a year before we did this room we made DS's old room into the new office and I went with a tropical theme there. One day I was at Home Goods (or Home Sense...I mix those up) looking for a lamp, and I randomly walked by a big picture/painting that looked exactly like Castaway Cay. Needless to say that is on the wall in the office.
This is the pic I bought, followed by a photo I took years earlier.

You are welcome to these if you want? They are just under the bed. The bottom two are cruise specific (Transatlantic) but the top is Castaway. Don "Ducky" Williams. COA for two of them.

I like shopping too! For a time I collected coffee mugs of the Royals. And a friend of mine from the U.K. arrived for a visit with about a dozen in his suitcase. Sweet thought, but I like the Thrill of the Hunt! Good Luck!!

I have only participated in FEs twice, back in 08 and 09. I actually do have that one though, hanging in the entrance way to my kitchen. It comes in handy to stuff things in. Since we did the room, I have added 2 magnets to the door, one from my DS's wedding cruise (all the guests got one) and another from our last cruise that was a "welcome home" magnet for my other DS, as he was just back from deployment.
