My daughter may get to study Abroad in Spain

She is in college - does anyone know someone who has also done so?

My roommate in college spent a semester in Spain. Other then getting her camera stolen when she asked some locals to take her picture, not a good idea, she loved it. She was a Spanish major and now teaches high school Spanish. She also spent 5 years teaching at a mission in Bolivia. I think everyone should at least visit another country at sometime in their life.

My son did a study abroad in London last year. He was a college junior at the time. He had the time of his life. I was a nervous wreck but he still tells me it was the best thing he's ever done. While he was there he visited Ireland, Scotland, France, Belgium and Holland. What an experience! We were just talking the other day about how he spent last St. Patrick's Day in Ireland.

my best friend is in Spain right now ..She is a junior and is minoring in Spanish and it was a requirement to go for a semester--she is having a blast! She is living with a host family and emails me all the time telling me stories--the pictures are amazing!!!

I am from Spain and I have American friends who I met while they were living in Spain doing the same thing you mentioned. They all loved it . I'd say go for it .

My niece spent a year of her university in Spain. She stayed with a host family for the first term and had an apartment for the second term. She did a lot more cultural things than actual studying but she really enjoyed her year there.

My cousin did it and loved it. I am all for it and hope my kids get the oppurtunity.

My best friend's younger sister spent a year in Spain back in the late 80's...1989 I think. She was in Cordoba. She thought it was marvelous experience.

My niece is currently spending a semester in Italy. All the e-mails we get from her are absolutely glowing with what she is experiencing.
