Every year, the Phillies have "Maple Point Night" where the school's band plays at the pregame show, then a select group of kids sing the National Anthem before the game. I got a letter in the mail today "To The Parents of"....First though, "Oh no! Now what?!" I open it to find "Congratulations! Your daughter has been invited to sing with the Select Choir at the Phillies game................."
My daughter is so excited (and honestly, if she doesn't stop singing the Anthem soo, I just might scream!!
). She has to be at school tomorrow morning, then next week, at 7:15 in the morning to practice. We also have to purchase tickets to the game next week and drive her down to the city next Tues. Not looking forward to that but I can't wait to see her out on the field.

Good for HER!!!
Jessie, unlike her mother
, actually can sing!! She has gotten picked for solo parts the past 3 years at school for choir. Since she got home from school yesterday, she has been singing that song almost non-stop! The first 10 times, I was ok with it..........I can only imagine how many more times she is going to be singing it over the next week.
