My apologies to those in the Navy... I should have clarified that Air Force must be younger than 26 to go through boot camp. I don't know about the other branches. Thanks for the corrections.
I must say, those dress uniforms (all branches) are SO HOT!

Save yourself a huge mistake. Don't join the navy. Hubby is in his 23rd year. Every year he wishes he could just retire. Says he is too old to be living on a ship 9 months out of the year....looking at nothing but water all around him....sleeping on a mattress the thickness of a pantyliner the width of 1/2 twin matress and eating the same horrible food. He has seen about all of Bahrain and UAE he cares to. The excitement of Navy in his youth has expired and he just wants to come home everyday

I think that it is a decision that you really need to think about. Do some soul searching and decide what is really important to you in life. Don't make any hasty decisions!
