Our CVS has no problems with empty shelves OR dirty stores. It may well be a regional thing--and I don't mean that in the typical DIS way of "NJ does things differently than Oklahoma". It seems like experiences vary widely from individual store to store. Our current CVS is clean, well-lit, well-stocked, and comfortably staffed with pleasant, helpful people. I have been in ones that weren't (the one in downtown Schenectady, NY comes to mind--ugh!). It's important to note that our current city of residence is very up-and-coming--lots of new construction and expansion going on, and our CVS is right in the middle of that.
