Hello All!

Welcome to my first PTR! I am getting super excited because we leave 3 months from today YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE:cheer2: :cheer2:

So's here's a little intro and then I will get down to business with sharing our plans.

DH- Derek, thirty-something Disney lover (thanks to me!) His first trip was with his dad for his 10th b-day, lets just say it did NOT go well. He did not want to ever go back but I convinced him when his brother was getting married in Ft. Myers to take a 2 day trip. He agreed (after all we were newly weds!) and LOVED IT! We stayed at WL and only got to visit MK and Epcot but it was soooooooo much fun. He still thinks I'm obsessed but he sure does love to look at disneyworld.com...:rolleyes1 He's a minister (yes I said Minister!) but still likes to have fun people! Favorite Rides: RnR and the teacups!

Me-Carolyn, twenty-something Disney freak! I took a few trips as a child and teenager. It always was the place my parents/mom took us to when we were going through tough times and I definitely associated MK and Epcot with escaping reality! But I did not discover all the Disney books and websites until planning the two day trip back in 06. Now I'm HOOKED!
I used to be a chef until a back injury put an end do that. But I still love to cook and currently work for a bank. I am hoping to go back to school for teaching in 2010.
Favorite rides: Splash Mountain and BTMR! I also LOVE Figment :):figment:

We also have two furbabies. Our first is Chloe, a lop rabbit (brown and white). She is very friendly and loves to play with her little sister, Roxy the Wheaton Terrier. Roxy is very spoiled and has been the center of our world.

Now my hubby has wanted kids since the day we got married, I on the other hand have been in no rush. He's five yrs older after all. The last trip we took (Feb '07) My excuse was always "I can't get pregnant, we're going to Disney and I won't be able to go on any of the fun rides!" So I said we could MAYBE start trying when we got back. Well things started happening at DH's job and we ended up having to move from RI to Maine last month and because of this DH said we can plan a trip to WDW for my b-day, on one condition. Dh says "We are NOT going back until we have kids!" So I agreed and here we are!

Here are some pics of my and the hubs...

Gorgeous wedding pic, looking forward to reading more!

Good morning Everyone! :wave2: Well I have the day off so let's get down to business shall we.....

Mon 4/20 Arrival Day!!!!
I plan on working a half day today. We are taking SW airlines out of Manchester, NH (anyone ever flown from here? I haven't and would love to hear from someone who has!) we land at MCO at 10:40PM! We are staying at POP this night and I am really looking forward to it. I have always wanted to stay there but have been a little nervous of value resorts. So if we don't like it then one night won't hurt, will it?:confused3 We are booked for a preferred room, I requested the 70's building (hubby was born in the 70's) and then I'm hoping to be able to check out the 80's section the next day (I was born in 81) Also I was able to get a AAA rate and paid with our disney visa points so it's "free":)

Tuesday 4/21 Bonus day/"Relax" day
We were originally planning a 6 night stay with only 4-5 days in the parks. But with the 4/3 deal and arriving a day before our package starts we really need to take things a little slower at some points, i have back issues and after last trip of GO GO GO I could barely walk! So I need to really try and slow the pace today to make it through the week....
Today we will wake up at Pop and explore the place and take some pics for my TR! We then are going to cab it or possibly take the buses to AK then AKL, we'll see how we feel :) We are checking in at AKL (hopefully no later than 10:30am) and if we have our room right away we may relax a bit. But knowing me and my hubby this probably won't happen :lmao: but here's to wishful thinking. We want to go to MK first, because I ALWAYS have to see the castle first! :hyper: We are going to take the MK railroad around (we have never taken it around the whole park) possibly hit some rides, no major plans though. We want to eat lunch at Casey's, I've never tried it, my usual was always Cosmic Rays growing up. Then we will catch the 3pm Dreams Come True Parade. I don't think I've ever actually "watched" this parade, just moved through the crowds to get to the rides while everyone elses watched!:thumbsup2
After the parade we will probably bum around Main Street a bit and then take the monorail to EPCOT. We may check out the shops and maybe Innoventions or something. We have 6:30 ADRs at San Angel Inn, I know I know this place gets bad reviews. But alas I am one of those "But it looks so pretty and I've never eaten in there!" people. So we will try it and hopefully have a few cervezas :drinking1 and not be too dissapointed. We are just going back to the hotel after dinner, no fireworks tonight. Maybe a little hot tub time when we get back :cool1:

Wed. 4/22 AK and DHS
We want to make rope drop for AK today at 9am. Another thing I have never done, actually made it to rope drop! We are going right for the safari and then after that get FPs for Everest. We will then explore Dinoland, see Finding Nemo, go on Kali River Rapids, and get on Everest for our FP time. We will either have lunch here (Yak and Yeti for CS?) or head back to AKL for a break and eat at the Mara. We are going to really try and take breaks this trip! We are heading to DHS for the evening and possibly another first for me, RnR. I have chickened out every time getting in line for this one, but my hubby is demanding I try it. :offtopic: Last time he did this I went on Mission to Mars the RED version, oh my GOD I thought I was going to die. But maybe we'll stop for some liquid courage :drinking1! DH also wants to ride ToT, I have been on this but the last time was when they still had the lap bars and it wasn't random drops. I also chickened out of this the last time....At 7pm the plan is for DH to go get FPs for TSM, it's EMH tonight and I'm hoping they reset the FPs at 7 when the park officially closes. We then have ADRs for Sci-Fi Dine In at 7pm, which I will check us in for while DH gets the FPs. We really enjoyed this place last trip, we both thought the atmosphere was very relaxing and fun to watch the clips. The food was alright too. I forgot to mention we will be on the DDP but we will pay for this meal OOP becuase I really want to try the onion rings and DH wants the spinach dip! We will probably split an entree and skip desert :thumbsup2 After dinner we'll hopefully get on TSM and then maybe Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Great Movie Ride, or anything else we want to do.

Ok so that's all for now next post will be my Birthday Plans! But here's some pics from the last trip to tide you over:cheer2: :cheer2:

The Castle...with some random lady and stroller in front! It was crowded, what can I say :rotfl2:

CopyofS7300091.jpg

DeVine, gotta love her!

OK, when I saw the castle picture before your note at the bottom I was all thinking I needed to scroll back up because I didn't think you had kids. :rotfl:

I don't eat hot dogs at anytime else in my life except when we're at WDW. There's something about eating a Casey's dog on Main Street....yuuuum. That's on my agenda for tomorrow!

I hope San Angel Inn is good for you...we used to love eating there before they made the changes. It's such a cool location, hopefully you'll get to sit by the water!

Here I am...on board and ready to read more!!! :)

Please excuse our appearance, this was taken at 2am as the MK was closing for EMH! Also I was 50lb heavier.... :scared:

S7300170.jpg

This is one of my favs! I LOVE Spectromagic and last trip there was pretty much no one at the end of the route so lots of character interaction :thumbsup2

Ok so on with the show!

Thursday 4/23 MK and maybe some Epcot thrown in

Today we will wake up at 7am I am hoping, and my hubby should say to me....:bday: YIPPEEEEE We will then head to MK for EMH starting at 8am and so I can get whatever birthday treat I choose. Either FP or $75, I haven't decided yet but I am leaning towards the $75. We will then hit up Fantasyland and get on as many rides as possible. I want to get breakfast at the Main Street Bakery today so we will head back there at some point. Then do whatever else we want, if we're done early then maybe we will head to Epcot for a while. Especially if I get the $75, I ALWAYS find stuff I want at Mousegears! We will be taking a break too, maybe 1-3pm as I am assuming we will be done early thanks to EMH. Then We will head back to MK and make our way to the Poly for our 6:30pm ADR at O'HANA! I have always wanted to try this place too and why not for my Birthday! I'm hoping for a good view pixiedust: Lastly I want to make it back to MK for Spectromagic at 8pm and then back to the hotel to Relax and more HOT TUB TIME!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Friday 4/24 DHS and Epcot
We are gonna make it to another rope drop today! I can dream can't I?:rotfl:
Anywayz DHS opens at 9am and I'm hoping to go right to TSM and get another FP. Then we can do Muppet Vision, Star Tours, Indiana Jones and whatever else we want to see on our last DHS day. I'm thinking lunch at Backlot Express, it hasn't dissapointed us yet. Any other suggestions? Hopefully another break from 3-5pm and then over to Epcot! Tonight we will tour Worldshowcase and then hit up Future World for EMH fun. I want to start with Canada when we get to Epcot and get to Germany by our 7pm ADR. I plan to eat and :drinking1 as much as possible here! :rotfl2: Then we can hang out around WS until Illuminations at 9pm and finish up WS after that. Epcot has EMH until 12am, so maybe we will get on Test Track and Soarin' if we haven't already at this point. And of course there will be more :figment: :figment: :figment:

Saturday 4/25 Relaxation!
I'm sure we will be totally wiped out by now and will need to sleep in a bit...but not too late because we have 9:50am ADRs for Boma. Im excited to try this place too because I have heard some great things about it. I wanted to do at least one breakfast buffet so this should be good. I'm also thinking of paying OOP for this one too so we can do some more TS. After breakfast we're gonna check out the resort and just bum around. Pool, gift shop, etc. We then have 5pm ADRs at Le Cellier so we will leave for Epcot @4pm. After dinner we're taking the friendship boats to the BC/YC and taking the bus from there to DTD. My plan is to make some treats at Goofys first and then we're seeing La Nouba at 9pm. This is something DH is REALLY looking forward to, has anyone been? After La Nouba possibly more shopping but more likely just back to AKL.

Ok so here's one more pic because I need it. I wish I were here instead on Maine in JANUARY! BRRRRRRRR

This is the lake at CSR, ahhhhhh I can feel the Florida breeze.....:beach:

There will be two more days that I will share on my next update but until then I bid you Farewell!

Looks like you've got your trip all planned out :) I've been working on our trip too.

I LOVE your Mickey picture!!!! Hope you do not mind of I sub! We will be there the same time(well a few days). I will have to come back after the fam is asleep and read your trip report so far!

Jumping on board for your tr! Sounds like you have some great plans so far.

I live about 20 minutes from the Manchester airport and it's seriously so much better than Logan! It's a lot smaller (and I mean A LOT!). Easy to find your gate just not much to do at the airport it's self. There is like a food court at the mall. I can't really remember what's there because I usually don't go there. I know there is a Mc D's and Dunkin Donuts. They have access from behind the security check point too. Since you can't bring the food through security. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Looking forward to more of your report! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for your info on the Manchester Airport. I don't like flying too much (although I 've gotten MUCH better...no more crying fits on take off :rotfl:) I grew up in Chicago and always flew out of O'Hare, no wonder I'm traumitized. That place is a ZOO. But I had just gotten used to using SW Airlines at TF Green in Providence and now we've moved to Maine. TF Green is a good 3hrs so we were looking where else SW flies and Manchester is the closest. There's an airport in Portland (actually the planes fly right over our apartment) but they only have airlines like Jet Blue and US Airways...after the Hudson crash YIKES...needless to say I am comforted knowing it is easy to get around and much smaller than Logan! :cool1:

Ah Yes Where Was I? Sorry I have taken a while for my update...nothing like another foot of snow to make you update your PTR!

Sun 4/26 AK/MK
Today I am planning on going over to AK, after all it will be SUPER close to AKL ::yes:: Maybe sleep in a little, all I want is to see the shows today. We really loved Nemo last time, and of course Festival of the Lion King. Second thing to do here today is to walk along the animal trails. We didn't do that at all last trip (it was our first time to AK and I was surprised at how huge it was!) so I'm excited to see the gorillas and tigers up close. I am SO getting one of those Chai freezes too! Lunch somewhere here like Pizzafari or maybe Restaurantaurus if we want burgers. Has anyone eaten at Restaurantaurus?
We WILL take a break today back at AKL. Them over to the MK a little bit before our 9pm ADRs for CALI GRILL!!!!!! YIPPPEEEEE!!!!!! I am really looking forward to this, as we scored ressies at 9pm and wishes is at 10pm.
MK has EMH tonight until 1am....we'll see how late we make it. The next day will be our final park day and we always have to be at MK to wrap up our trips.

Mon 4/27 Final park day!
This morning we will probably sleep in again, with EMH at MK the night before. We will crawl over to Epcot at some point and do some rides we want to get on one last time. We have ADRs at Coral Reef for 12pm. I haven't eaten there since I was a teenager and I remember it being pretty cool. The chocolate wave looks yummy too. :offtopic: Also, My DH has an irrational fear of dolphins, so I want to somehow get him a drink with that little plastic dolphin "Evil Laugh". Then at some point we will go over to MK again (I know we will be here a lot but it's my fav park :)) We will just hang out and get on whatever rides. Also a must do, a Dole Whip! We have 5pm ADRs for Chef Mickey's. We thought it would be nice to be all about Mickey on our last day. Of course we will watch Wishes and then hopefully I won't throw a tantrum when it's time to leave :rotfl2: :lmao:

Tues 4/28
Good Bye WDW! Hello pregnancy....:goodvibes

Ok so that's what we have planned...well I'VE planned so far :hyper: My DH has been filled in though! Thanks for reading and here's a few more pics to tide us over!

hey just seeing if anyone is reading :) if not thats ok because almost 2 months left YIPPPEEEjust made plans to see my cousin, his wife, and son while we're there. I'm very excited it's been a year since i've seen them. also made plans to see my brother in law and sister in law. she's a shopoholic though! last year we met up with them and walked all over world showcase SHOPPING. i couldn't deal with it, and one point i said that's enough! i cant take it! i need to go on a ride NOW! :lmao: so no more world showcase with them! hope everyone is having a wonderful day and happy valentine's! :lovestruc

Well since we are going to WDW NEXT MONTH! Sorry I'm very excited that I can say NEXT MONTH lol :) I bought some new stuff for the trip of course! I still want to get more new clothes and such but I will do this gradually....I got the T-shirts on Disneyshopping.com and the bag at Walmart. The Tink shirt and glitter heart shirt were 2/$20 on the website and the blue mickey and goofy shirts were only 3.99! Also the bag at Walmart was only $5! I have been getting some good deals....it's only fair I do my part to keep the American Dollar strong :lmao: The Goofy shirt is for DH, the rest is mine :cool1:
