Hello All!
Welcome to my first PTR! I am getting super excited because we leave 3 months from today YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE
So's here's a little intro and then I will get down to business with sharing our plans.
DH- Derek, thirty-something Disney lover (thanks to me!) His first trip was with his dad for his 10th b-day, lets just say it did NOT go well. He did not want to ever go back but I convinced him when his brother was getting married in Ft. Myers to take a 2 day trip. He agreed (after all we were newly weds!) and LOVED IT! We stayed at WL and only got to visit MK and Epcot but it was soooooooo much fun. He still thinks I'm obsessed but he sure does love to look at disneyworld.com...
He's a minister (yes I said Minister!) but still likes to have fun people! Favorite Rides: RnR and the teacups!
Me-Carolyn, twenty-something Disney freak! I took a few trips as a child and teenager. It always was the place my parents/mom took us to when we were going through tough times and I definitely associated MK and Epcot with escaping reality! But I did not discover all the Disney books and websites until planning the two day trip back in 06. Now I'm HOOKED!
I used to be a chef until a back injury put an end do that. But I still love to cook and currently work for a bank. I am hoping to go back to school for teaching in 2010.
Favorite rides: Splash Mountain and BTMR! I also LOVE Figment
We also have two furbabies. Our first is Chloe, a lop rabbit (brown and white). She is very friendly and loves to play with her little sister, Roxy the Wheaton Terrier. Roxy is very spoiled and has been the center of our world.
Now my hubby has wanted kids since the day we got married, I on the other hand have been in no rush. He's five yrs older after all. The last trip we took (Feb '07) My excuse was always "I can't get pregnant, we're going to Disney and I won't be able to go on any of the fun rides!" So I said we could MAYBE start trying when we got back. Well things started happening at DH's job and we ended up having to move from RI to Maine last month and because of this DH said we can plan a trip to WDW for my b-day, on one condition. Dh says "We are NOT going back until we have kids!" So I agreed and here we are!
Here are some pics of my and the hubs...
Here's me after having a few glasses of wine with my filet at Le Cellier....

and
We are booked for a preferred room, I requested the 70's building (hubby was born in the 70's) and then I'm hoping to be able to check out the 80's section the next day (I was born in 81) Also I was able to get a
but here's to wishful thinking. We want to go to MK first, because I ALWAYS have to see the castle first!
We are going to take the MK railroad around (we have never taken it around the whole park) possibly hit some rides, no major plans though. We want to eat lunch at Casey's, I've never tried it, my usual was always Cosmic Rays growing up. Then we will catch the 3pm Dreams Come True Parade. I don't think I've ever actually "watched" this parade, just moved through the crowds to get to the rides while everyone elses watched!
and not be too dissapointed. We are just going back to the hotel after dinner, no fireworks tonight. Maybe a little hot tub time when we get back
Last time he did this I went on Mission to Mars the RED version, oh my GOD I thought I was going to die. But maybe we'll stop for some liquid courage
YIPPEEEEE We will then head to MK for EMH starting at 8am and so I can get whatever birthday treat I choose. Either FP or $75, I haven't decided yet but I am leaning towards the $75. We will then hit up Fantasyland and get on as many rides as possible. I want to get breakfast at the Main Street Bakery today so we will head back there at some point. Then do whatever else we want, if we're done early then maybe we will head to Epcot for a while. Especially if I get the $75, I ALWAYS find stuff I want at Mousegears! We will be taking a break too, maybe 1-3pm as I am assuming we will be done early thanks to EMH. Then We will head back to MK and make our way to the Poly for our 6:30pm ADR at O'HANA! I have always wanted to try this place too and why not for my Birthday! I'm hoping for a good view
Lastly I want to make it back to MK for Spectromagic at 8pm and then back to the hotel to Relax and more HOT TUB TIME!!!!!!!!

Maybe sleep in a little, all I want is to see the shows today. We really loved Nemo last time, and of course Festival of the Lion King. Second thing to do here today is to walk along the animal trails. We didn't do that at all last trip (it was our first time to AK and I was surprised at how huge it was!) so I'm excited to see the gorillas and tigers up close. I am SO getting one of those Chai freezes too! Lunch somewhere here like Pizzafari or maybe Restaurantaurus if we want burgers. Has anyone eaten at Restaurantaurus?
