the trip

day 1: wednesday 27th december

we awoke about 6.30 in the morning. we had to quicky get ready to catch the taxi for 7.30 that would take us down to london waterloo. we had breakfast, got some nice clothes on and set off.

the taxi ride was good. i spent most of the jerney listening to my new ipod i got for christmas.

we arived at the station with plenty of time to get drinks and sweets for the train.

we boared the train, i've gotta say a long jerney like 2 hours and a half soon got boring. we all wanted to get to disney as soon as possible.

soon we arived. we didon't bother with disney express but took our lugage straight down to our hotel (we stayed at the shiane). after a quick dumping of lugage, we all got warm clothes on and set off for disney village.

we thaught the first thing we'd do, is book buffalo bill's wild west show as we always do that. we got seats for the 6.30 showing and went off for something to eat in planet hollywood.

after that, we still had time to kill so we wondered in to the park. mum had the idea of doing some of the rides in fantasy land, then watching the christmas parade at 5.30.

we went on peter pan, snow white and dumbo.

after that, we headed back for the parade.

it was really cool watching all the floats go past, and the music was awesome, so much so that i had to buy the album from the disney store in disney village which also had the fanta lution parade and the walt disney studios parade. it also had some songs around the park, all in all about 20 tracks.

after the parade we saw buffalo bill. i got my nice blue cowboy hat and wore it through out the show. it was much better than last time i saw it, maybe because it involved the audience more.

we all got chocolate coins to take away with us, and headed out side to look at disney village.

we stopped at the country saloon for a bit, before heading back to the shianne for an early night

day 2: thursday december 28th

we spent the whole day in the park. i can't really say the rides have changed much, perhaps a few new bits here and there but all in all very much the same.

i enjoyed star tours (i always do) and also big thunda, though it was real cold in that tunnel.

the new show, winter wonderland was fab, i really loved the country bears (i baught the song last year) not really knowing where it was from.

the only 3 atractions i don't care dfor, are space mountain, indiana, and legend of the lion king.

my sister enjoyed indiana though.

for dinner, we went to ludwick's castle.

i'll start by saying:

it's not heated much in there even if you do sit away from the door. the service though is fab, for the kid's the choice is exilent and we had vouchers, so we got an icecream with the meal.

then we went to see fantalution. i don't think it's all what it says, oh i liked it, but 3 acts? we stood outside mainstreet USA for 15 mins, and then it was over. unless i'm missing something, bring back the electric light parade.

the only thing fantalution's got, is a deecent soundtrack

so, all that remains is to comment on my day at walt disney studios.

i really enjoyed the tram tour. okay, it broke down twice, and some of the affects were broken, but it was interesting to see how the films were made, and when the guy got it al,l working, the fire was awsome.

didon't go on aro smith (closed)

ani magic, ooo do ya want to knock it down now or later?

not only was the show boring, the lady in there was so miserable we all nearly left the theater.

i loved armageddon, but guess what? that broke as well!. walt disney studios really need to look after there atractions more.

the only ride broken for a bit in disney, was big thunda (but it always is)

anyway, we went to the rainforest for dinner, and i must say, that talking tracy tree drove me insain.

if i have to sit one more lecture of the rainforest, there be a war.

anyway, florida in august, can't wait.

i hope all the rides will work

lol

So, thumbs up or thumbs down for your trip and which one of the cast are you?

That would be pretty awesome - glad you enjoyed your trip. What did you think of the Cheyenne? It's our favourite hotel, in fact it's like our home away from home. Amazing theming plus the bar has the added bonus of The Thrifts playing 5 days a week which adds so much. Yes, I will get round to doing the FAQ, I promise!

Thank you for your review. What did you eat at Ludwicks?

Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2
Sorry to hear, that your experiences at the Studios weren't very well.

the shianne was a really good hotel.

we stayed in the running bear, and had 2 rooms next door to each other.

we got to see the live band, really aded to the western theme.

as for ludwicks i had chicken and chips. i've gotta say, it must be one the best meals i had in a long time.

while i'm here, here's my top 10 atractions i really rated

1: star tours

2: armageddon

3: buffalo bill's wild west show

4: big thunda mountain

5: utopia

6: honey i shrunk the audience

7: legend of the lion king

8: studios tram tour

9: ludwick's castle

and 10: pirates of the carabean

Sounds like you had a great time. Ludwig's Castle is on our list of places to eat at, sadly POTC is closed when we are there, but we are going again in August so it had better be open then or I'll scream!! We are going to Buffalo Bills for the first time this year too, my kids are looking forward to it so much!
