For the past few weeks, my cats have been "guarding" the area underneath my refrigerator. I KNEW there was a mouse there, but I hoped it would leave, all would be well, and my cats would find a new hobby.
Those $#@! beasts left me a mouse carcass in the middle of my dining room. I hate, hate, hate dead mice. I don't even like live ones (which is why I pretended I had no idea what they were guarding). I managed to get rid of it by calling my mother for moral support and then dropping many paper towels plus an old dish towel on it. Then I had to touch the #@!$% thing (is there a vomiting smilie? A vomitie??) to pick it up and toss it down the garbage chute. I live in an apartment building, and I may have freaked all the way across the hall (at least that's what my mother said when she was done laughing). I'm sure my neighbors were ready to call the men with the padded wagon.
i hate cats, I hate mice, and I really hate Fergie and Diana right now. But, on the plus side, they did stop guarding the refrigerator.
And how is your Friday evening going?
