In aug we got a new cat. she is almost a year old , well my son spilled a box of nerds in my bedroom and my husband though that he vacumed them all up , well he didn't and the cat found them and loves to eat them. she literally looks for he nerds. i saw it last night and was laughing so hard i almost fell on the floor. I know that cand isn't good for pets it was just so funny. my husband says at least shes a good cat for the house as she appears to like junk food:rotfl2:

i had a friend who referred to any non liquid food the kids dropped on the floor (esp. when they were toddlers) as "carpet treats". if she was feeling uninthusiastic to vacuum she'd go to the backdoor to bring in the dog and say "c'mon boy it's carpet treat time"-that dog would HAUL *** because it knew a banquet awaited him:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

i don't know how my cat would feel about nerds, but she likes to lick the kids fingers after they eat them:)

As a two-cat family, I will say that a cat needs mental help purely by being a cat. I had to do a massive cleaning at my apartment recently. After I was done and thoroughly exhausted, the prim and proper cat went bonkers. Seems she found a toothbrush threatening the household and was determined to scare it to death. I have no idea where it came from.

Cats - what can you say? LOL

lol Nerds? Who would have guessed! Cats are so bizarre it is part of their charm.

:lmao: I have a cat who lets me know when I haven't cleaned under things...
I kept finding dust bunnies and little piles of dirt right in front of hard-to-reach things (like the sofa, the stove, and the refrigerator). I couldn't for the life of me figure out what was going on!!

Well one morning I caught her!! She was reaching underneath the stove and pulling out dirt and dust!! It was like she was doing the white glove test on me!!

Cats are crazy!! (But I still love them anyway...LOL) :rotfl:

My female cat attacks her back feet and every once in awhile, it's like the front end and the back end disagree. She also attacks nothing, gets scared by nothing and hides under her chair.

My male cat LOVES Mickey Dee's french fries. He will sit and stare at you while eating them, begging you to share with his eyes. He also eats fur. As well as has some sort of grudge with my fiance (the cat owns me, apparently and doesn't want to share).

Mine like skittles. No accounting for taste. Mine like to find all the food my best freinds kids leave on the floor and put them in a pile, then sit there and stare at me while they eat them. One time NJ dropped pop rocks.. that was a funny experance.....

We call our siamese cat "our hairdresser". When we're sitting on the couch, she likes to get up on the back of the couch and run her paws through our hair. Occasionally she will use her claws though! It's a nice massage and we have come away with quite a hairdo sometimes! :teeth:

After we took the Backstage Safari Tour at Animal Kingdom, my Dad started hiding cat treats around the house. He put their cat on an "enrichment program." At first she had a lot of trouble sorting out where they were, but after 7 years she is a real pro. It keeps both of them happy and engaged.

Oh... I bet she's lost a toy under there!

Toooo funny!:rotfl:

That reminds me of a story I read on MLIA.

"Today my cat brought me a red Skittle. He dropped it on the pillow next to me and purred like crazy, as if he had killed the King of All Mice. I petted him and asked him 'why a red Skittle, Arthur?' I was very confused -until I remembered my husband's laser pointer. It looks like Arthur finally killed The Red Dot today. MLIA."

LOL I love the red dot story! i got red dot chasers here too. All they have to do is hear "dot"(as we call it) jingle (mines a keychain) and they go bonkers!

Oh gosh, these are too funny! Cats are the best.

My kitty is just over a year old. She is spoiled rotten because she was totally a surprise gift from above. I am terribly allergic to cats and thought I could never have an indoor kitty. Just as DH and I were about to get a dog, we found Annabelle in our apartment parking lot along with two of her siblings when they were five weeks old. All three were severely malnourished and would have only lasted another day or two. She and her brother (now my parents' cat) were both blind from a herpes infection in their eyes before they had opened. It pierced little holes in their corneas, so their eyes never developed properly. She eats really good cat food, probably better than the food I feed myself :lmao: and she loves it. She is rarely interested in people food beyond sniffing at it. Except for Nature Path's wildberry-acai toaster pastries. The cat will pester me as I am eating them and I always have to leave her a little square to lick and munch. She goes absolutely crazy over them.

I love crazy cat stories! I had two awesome cats who both, unfortunately, passed much too young. I still miss them terribly but hearing fun stories like this remind me of how crazy they were!

Jack used to like to eat pretzels and chips and Kitty preferred deli turkey! Funny how they have their own tastes! Jack also used to play fetch. He would stare at your with his mouse in his mouth for you to throw it and bring it right back and drop it in your hand! We think he was part dog.

Paws?? Jack used to run his TEETH through my hair to wake me up in the morning!

My 8 yr old cat Chase is spoiled. When I make Dh's sandwich for work he sits right there waiting for a piece of cheddar. He will turn his nose up and walk away if it is any other kind of cheese.

His favorite food is rice pudding. He will sit next me and reach out his paw to grab the spoon. He always gets a tiny bit after I am done.

The funniest is when my daughter was eating her favorite dessert- cheesecake. Chase loves it too but waited until she finished and put her plate in the sink. He sat in the sink and licked the plate clean- all the while he was sitting in a bowl I had filled with sudsy water. It was fun watching him shaking his tail and behind loose of the suds!

Love crazy cat stories! Our girls (r.i.p.) used to rattle the mini blinds to wake us up in the morning.Their other favorite would be to dip their paws in our water glasses we put on the headboard and flick the water in our faces to wake us up in the morning! My favorite quote about cats is "to dogs, you're family,to cats, you're staff!!!

One of my cats LOVES cotton candy. She is also crazy for Hawaiian Bread and will do whatever she can to steal it from you if you don't give her any. She also happens to be my least social cat and has to deem someone worthy before she even is seen....unless they have that Hawaiian Bread, then she will just firebomb them until they don't know what hit them!

When I was married to my 1st husband, I had a cat that would grab anything "shiny" and hide it in his sneakers.. Jewelry; piece of foil; safety pin; whatever..:)

DD had a cat that would play "fetch" just like a dog.. It had to be a wrapped cough drop though.. You would toss it across the room, he would go and get it, bring it back to you, and wait for you to toss it again.. He would play this game for as long as you were game..:rotfl:

Our older cat ( 7) goes nutso for italian salad dressing.... If I dont rince the bowl when I am done, he will stick his whole head into it, then spend the rest of the evening trying to lick every drop of it off his head. I swear his tounge will streach to twice its normal length.

When I was a kid our cat loved pineapple ( not fresh - off a pizza. A piece fell off once and he started climbling my body trying to get more, from that day on we had to share)
