Cat Puke, cat puke, cat puke. Cleaning up cat puke, that's what I've been doing for the past 4 days.:headache:

The vet took x-rays suspecting she has a blockage or swallowed something. Nope. No parasites either. No fever.

Silver is on some "lubricant" and Pepcid AC for a few days. Then if that doesn't help, the veterinarian wants to do more tests. I wish she would have done bloodwork today too but, she (vet)wanted to do it this way. Man, I hope she gets better and my other kitty doesn't get sick too. She does it every time she eats lately. The vet seems to think she ate something she wasn't supposed to or has hair-blockage.

Has your cat had this problem? What cured it? Poor Silver.:sad1:

ETA: Since Silver came home from the vet, Brownie has been hissing at her. I hope she stops hissing and, that it's just the scent from the vet's office and, it will wear off.:( They are usually laying together this time of night. Usually, if Brownie doesn't know where Silver is, she'll meow for her to come running.

One of my cats was doing that a lot last week.

She'd eat and then she'd puke it up all over

I tried to get some hairball medicine in her, use hairball preventive food and hairball treats.

She seems much better now.

Have you tried to give yours hairball stuff to see if it helps?

I did but, it didn't seem to help. Maybe this RX from the vet will help. I also bought some grass seed to keep in the house her future use.

It's hairball time of the year. They don't always show on x-rays. Also, just having ahir in the gut, even if it's not a blockage can cause tummy irritation and upset. Spring is coming, winter coats are blowing, and pets are grooming=puke. I've had the ferrets on a daily dose of Laxatone for two weeks now.

Hope your kitty feels better soon.

Thanks.

we have old cats and one has to be on oviban (basically prozac) for cats so he won't lick his tummy bald. so as long as he is on that he doesn't hawk up the hairballs as bad, just the occasional one. the other cat we swear is bulimic. he goes and eats and eats then just walks 2 feet away and pukes. vet doesn't seem worried as he is about 8 lbs over weight. (he has a brain tumor that they think causes him to do this)

i do hope your kitty feels better soon and the other one stops hissing!!

lots of nasty hairball action around my house. Hope your kitty feels better soon!

Sorry to hear about your cat. I'd have some blood work done ASAP. One of my cats was doing that a while back and it turned out she had pancreatitis. They put her on medication (sorry, don't remember what) and she had to have low fat cat food. After several weeks she was back to her old self.

Of course it could just be fur balls with your cat or any number of other things. I hope she's feeling better soon.

Thank you all. She has had her second dose of this lubricant stuff and has only puked once so, it seems to be working.

Yea! Silver hasn't been "ill" since yesterday morning! This stuff is working.

Brownie has stopped hissing at her and is smelling her nonstop.... I know TMI but, I'm glad.
