last night somehow my "indoor" cat has gotten out and i'm miserable... i feel kinda silly, being so upset. but i've had him since he was 3 weeks old.
you know, so young that you have to feed him with the little eyedrooper....
he's actually mean as heck... but he's still mine!

my sister (Julie_Yet) came over and we went looking throughout the neighborhood with flashlights... to no avail...
could you send a couple of hugs my way.... i think i really need that right now..

thanks

Oh no! I hope you find him soon.

Here's a {{{hug}}}

I am sending lots of PD that you find him soon. Please lee us know :)

I'm so sorry he is missing, but I bet he will turn up soon. Did you try looking under the deck, woodpile, shed, etc. I know that's the first place my kitty would go whenever she escaped.

I hope you find your kitty soon, fingers and toes crossed for you.

Hopefully he will find his way back soon...
((((HUGS)))

not much of that going on around my apartment complex... but thanks... i've looked in all those type of places...all my neighbors are on the lookout for him... my other concern is that he's not the nicest cat in the world... my boyfriend says that he'll come home eventually... but there are so many crazies and meanies out there and Lightning has never been outside before...

{{{hugs}}} I hope you find him! Does he have a collar? When I lost my inside boy, I took one of his favorite rattley balls out and shook it until he came out. Also, put food out -- that may lure him back. (Yeah, it also may lure strays, but if Lightening smells his favorite dinner, he might come waltzing back over!)

I hope he shows up soon. I've always worried a bit about our indoor only cats getting out as well-- that's why we microchipped them.

The cat I had when I was younger would sneak out and show back up on the doorstep a few days later. I hope that is what Lightning does soon.

Hope he comes back. Cats can be funny.

Years ago, I had a female cat that was very much a cat. She was aloof, except with DH and I.
One night one of my friends let her out, thinking she was an indoor/outdoor cat. (She was neutered, declawed in the front, approx 8 years old. Had her since she could fit in the palm of our hand. Spoiled rotten too. But she was all cat.)
I looked for days and nights, flashlight in hand. Cried my eyes out when it stormed, imaging her sitting in the bushes wondering where I was.
We put cans of cat food out. We think she was eating some.
Occasionally she would come around when we were out in the yard. But just watched us. And if we moved anywhere near her, she shot off. She wouldn't let us near her. She just wanted to be out.
I called the shelter, in case someone turned her in. They told me at that age, this was not uncommon. (But In never had any other cat do this.)
We even heard her fighting in the night with other cats. We knew her scream anywhere. And with no front claws, screaming was her defense, and seemed to work well.
She always looked well wnhe we saw her. Once she was even chasing a rabbit.
Then we saw her less and less often, until finally nothing. So we stopped putting food out, as only other animals were eating it.
We looked in the streets whenever we drove around, hoping not tro find her and never did. I don't know if she just expanded her territory or if someone else was able to take her over.
She just liked being wild.
Never had this experience with another cat. But I did choose this cat at shelter because she was a livewire even then.

Sorry to ramble. I hope yours turns out fine. Best wishes and keep us posted.
