Boots, the cat I got in junior high (yeah she's almost 15) is going to the vet's friday for a serious hair loss issue.
she's licking herself to the point of becoming bald. No fleas, (no outdoor animals) no change in litter, no change in food etc...The vet thinks it could be kidney issue's because of her age.
Shes always been a water drinker, but in the last couple of weeks she's been drinking more than ever. Even from the toilet, which she has never done. Even with the water bowl full...
If it is her kidneys i'm not sure what that means. I know she's old, but can they fix kidney issue's??

aw: Hang in there, Boots! 
The vet told me that, in her case, it is a minor case of OCD. I was told not to worry about it unless she actually started licking the skin raw.
