My Cat died today!

I got a voicemail from the Vet clinic today to call them. I thought it was about Smokey one of my cats being there last week as he was ill. I called when I got home from work and found out that his brother Chillie had been killed on the road not far from our house. He was a beautiful cat, he was silver with gorgeous stripes all over his body. I'm devastated! My husband never wanted the cats to go out, but they wanted out and the kids didn't have the speed to go after them when they ran out the door. He must have got out when I went to work this morning. I know these are the consequences when you have outdoor animals. He was only 14 months old.
I have his brother and one other cat Winnie who is 6 yrs old and a miniature poodle named Murphy.

I'm so so sorry! I had a baby kitten die just a few months ago. I am still devistated over it.

Just love the ones you have left but never forget him! I got another kitten and named him after the one I lost...his picture is in my siggie!

I'm sorry about your kitty. My old cat Taffy passed away in our neighbors driveway last week. I found this out because her daughter came over to ask me if the black and white cat was mine. I said yes and she said, well it died in our driveway today and my mom didn't know whose cat it was or if it was a stray so she called the animal control person and they came and got her. I was needless to say, a little upset that we didn't get to bury her or say goodbye, she was a good kitty. (And I don't know if I believe the story about her not knowing whose cat she was).
