My cat ATE my Crocs!

I bought a pair of the Payless Airwalks (basically off-brand Crocs) for my upcoming trip with DH in September. I kept them by the door so that I would remember to slip them on and "break them in" when I otherwise wouldn't think about it. Woke up this morning to find that my kitty decided the plastic straps on the back were fun to chew on. He actually chew completely through the strap on one shoe and nearly through it on the other shoe. Just a warning if you have curious pets that you might not want to leave these out!

I always wondered about that. We leave ours in the garage where our Golden retriever sleeps. I have never had a problem but I better put them up higher incase he gets bored.

Sorry about your shoes. If they were real crocs I think you could get the strap replaced. Not sure about airwalks though.

One of my cats likes to carry my Croc flip flops around in his mouth, but none of them have ever eaten them!! I wonder if there was a smell that your cat liked, or the feel of the rubber(?) in his mouth?

I have teeth marks on the back straps of both my Mickey Crocs...put there by one of my cats. My black pair of Beaches are unscathed however.

My cat chews through plastic bottles so I guess I better put my crocs up.

I'll bet it was the plastic he was attracted to. Some cats are. One of mine absolutely LOVES this plastic tub toy of Piglet in a boat. I would have it sitting on the edge of the tub and every night, he'd get up there and knock the thing into the tub and then have, er, "fun" with it. I had to move it onto the carpeted floor so we wouldn't get a noisy wakeup at 3:00 AM!

The other three cats could care less about it.

My kitty loves to chew through anything plastic, also...stuff that he can sink his teeth into (literally). Like those foam bath letters or soft puzzles, or his favorite, the floor mats!

My dog likes to chew on my husband's crocs, and if he leaves them outside over night- there is a surprise inside.....something pees IN them!?!
I think it might be a neighborhood cat

My cat too!! I have teeth marks in almost all my crocs and I catch her rolling around with them on the floor if I leave them out.

My cat hasn't chewed my Sketcher "crocs" yet, but does love plastic. I really love chasing him around the house trying to get the curling ribbon out of his behind! The kids are always rolling on the floor laughing at this.

This cat also likes to lay in my closet and chew on the bottom of my leather belts. That looks really nice at work and Coach's life time warranty doesn't apply to cat damage. He is no longer allowed in our bedroom.

I keep my shoes locked in my room or one of my animals would get them. I have a dog that eats laces and nothing else. She has gone through the laces countless times on DH's shoes and ate the lacing off of DGS's baseball glove but did not ruin the shoes or the glove.

My cat & dog leave our crocs alone, but my 1 year old thinks they are teething toys! Grosses me out everytime I catch her chewing on her sister's shoes. I can't seem to get the 4 year old to remember to keep them out of her sisters reach.

I keep thinking, they should make teethers out of crocslite (or whatever it is called).

I have three cats and all my crocs have teeth marks in them. I am so mad at them. Can't figure out which cat is doing it. I do keep them in the closet by DGS leaves the door open and the cats get right in.

I bought a pair of knock off crocs at target. I fourgot all about them,. they were in a bag and IN THE BOX. Stupid cats still found them and chewed them up.
