My car headlight doesn't work

I took it to Walmart and the guy said it was a loose wire - is that expensive to fix?

Probably a bulb and not a loose wire.

What make, model and year is it?

Is your blinker going real fast? Isn't that usually a sign the bulb is bad in the headlight?

I'm not sure that I would go by what he was saying unless he did more than just change the bulb.

The going rate around here is about $100/hour. Most places have a standard "check time" of around 1/2 hour and then the bill by the 1/10 of an hour for the repair. Parts of course are extra.
