Hi, I am so excited my Nikon D-7000 arrived today. Battery is charging & I'm going through the manual. I also ordered a cleaning kit seperate from the camera. Lenspen- (for lenses), digiklear-(lcd cleaner), blower, microfiber cleaning cloth, & fogklear-(dry anti-fog cloth). Do you reccomend using these products for cleaning? Or would I be better off just using the microfiber cloth & not the other products?

I think you have a nice variety for different cleaning situations. The microfiber is good for most basic cleaning, but the lens pen can give you some extra mojo for tough spots, and nothing can really replace a decent blower.

Be aware that there might come a time when you need to clean the sensor. That is a totally different task that should not be taken lightly. It also requires different cleaning equipment.

Thank you both!

ukcatfan- I finally got it.. lol as you can see from my post. Just a couple of weeks back when I was getting camera reccommendations, you were so helpful! I really like my new dslr, the diffrences between my previous camera & this one are night & day. I'll post a few of my first shots here shortly.

Cleaning the sensor is not as scary as it's made out to be. For one thing you never actually touch the sensor itself. Just get the correct size swabs for your camera. I used a Rocket blower and ended up with a great big blob so I had to so something. It cleaned up nicely with the swabs and I had no problems.:thumbsup2
