I am a huge fan of Eddie Bauer products but do not indulge in purchases very often due to the cost. I had a $15 Reward certificate that was about to expire, and I also had two different coupons for $10 off my purchase. I have been eyeballing a beautiful down throw blanket which sells for $120. That's WAY more than I would pay. I was considering it when it was marked 50% off...but even $60 is excessive for a throw blanket. Imagine my surprise when I went to the store and found out that I could STACK the $10 off coupons:banana:! I was able to use them plus my $15 reward certificate and bought the throw for a total of $27:yay:.

When I told my DH, he said, "Merry Christmas...you just bought your own present!":rotfl2:

We have one of those and love it. :thumbsup2 It gets machine washed at least every 2 weeks and has held up perfect for probably 5 years now. I only paid about $20 for it though back then...it was some sort of deal like, "spend $XXX and get the down throw for $20".

I only had a $5 certificate so I just bought a pair of wool socks that were on sale. LOL

I did find 2 pair of shorts that were 70% off so they were $12 each! One pair of navy and one pair of what I like to call "railroad shorts" LOL...basically the narrow navy/white seersucker stripe. They remind me of the old striped railroad overalls. :thumbsup2 I recently lost almost 30lbs in just a 3-month period (went from 154lbs to 125lbs) so I have had to replace my entire wardrobe...and I couldn't pass up inexpensive shorts even though it's December!

Oh, I love buying my clothes there because they run quite large. Normally, I am a 12-14 but at Eddie Bauer, I am a 10-12:yay:. In fact, last year, while training for the W&D 1/2 Marathon, I'd dropped enough inches to fit into an EB size 8:goodvibes. Alas, I've let myself go and went back up to a 12 again. I needed new jeans and EB are about the only "fashionable" brand that fit me...besides Cabela's:lmao:. I wear a Tall so the jeans are $80:scared1:. This fall, I was able to snag a pair that were on clearance for $59.99 and had an additional 30% off. I wash them all the time and they have held up great.

On another note, I bought a packable backpack for DD11 to use for school. She used it for about a week and one of the zipper pulls fell off. It was a double zipper so we just dealt with it. Last week, the zipper split and the pull no longer worked. I brought it back to see if they would exchange it since they stand behind all of their products 100%. I brought the identical bag up to the counter and asked about an exchange. Two employees were not sure how or even if it could be done. They called the manager who said, "Oh, this is easy....watch." He then cut the tag off the new bag, handed it to me and said, "Thanks for shopping with us and have a great day". They really do follow through with their guarantee to give complete satisfaction. Their prices are too high for me to ever pay full price, and even their sale prices are not very budget-friendly, but their service and standards are impeccable so I am willing to splurge every once in a while.

Nice find! Don' you just love when you can stack coupons :thumbsup2

I love the EB outlet. We live in the mountains with no mall in sight :sad2: But when we travel we fly out of Denver (2 hrs away so we go the day before our flight) and there is a huge outlet mall nearby. I always hit EB and find so many great things! Shorts and pants for $10, tees for $5, flannels for 10-15 and even swimsuits for under $20. I usually end upbringing stuff I buy there on our trip.
