They are doing an angiogram today. Younger brother just called to tell me. Doc thinks he had it Fri night. Older brother (mildly ********) had MRI on Sat for his cancer but didnt mention the pain to the doc. Doc said there is definately some permanent damage. Not sure what happened since Sat to get brother back to doc. Wish him luck, please.
just spoke with my mother - He's been in the hosp since Sun. Doc told my mother that "he blew out a big one". He's holding water, bloated belly, which is a sign of congestive heart failure. He's on both Klavix and Lopressor. Mother brought him to the ER Sun night. Brother was at her house complaining of pain in the neck, shoulders and chest; labored breathing.
They said the angiogram will be in the future but now they pushed it ahead to 9am this morn. He had an echocardiogram yesterday. Doc said permanent damage. Brother may not be able to go back to work.
Doc said brother has 3 things against him (besides his cancer) 1) he smokes a pipe 2) high cholesterol and 3) heridatary. Father's heart problems began when he was 54, brother is now 51. Dad died 9yrs ago at 71.
Just called DH at work and balled while checking out people's books.
