My brave dog... (bugs, ick!)

Just attacked a beetle that managed to get into our house. Did he attack, yes, and quite fiercly. Oh he is so very brave...

Did he actually eat the bug? No, of course not. So now I have to clean up a dead beetle body from my rug...

My cats are like that!

One of those huge water bugs got into the house the other day. I hate those things because they can fly.......ugghh.....anyway my Cinders and Isis had the thing surrounded but did they kill it and eat it,

NO WAY!!!! They tortured the poor thing and then I had to clean up the remains!!

I could have used Monty during Cicada season. Newspaper said that cicadas are like dessert for dogs, but mine wouldn't touch them. Go Monty

Maxi-dog is quite a hunter. He goes after, catches, and eats ants, lightning bugs and bees (can't dogs be stung?).

He has also killed two squirrels in our backyard.

Trust me, EX and Beth. You're much better off cleaning up bug remains than squirrel carcasses. ICK!

(Not like I cleaned up the squirrel bodies though. Picking up things like dead feral animals is a DH job.)

LOL! I don't blame you JJ, no way am I picking up squirrels!!

Sadie-Marie (my Lhasa) loves chasing squirrels, HOWEVER she has yet to even come CLOSE to catching one THANK GOODNESS!

And hey, I've wondered the same thing....I've caught Cinders with a red wasp cornered on more than one occasion. It always scares me to pieces that she will get stung! I'll kill it really fast but I bet I've caught her with one 4 times this summer. I don't know how she keeps from getting stung.
