We (myself, my dh, and my ds) bb for SSR and get 30% off the rooms and free dining for next September last week when we were checking out. When I reserved the rooms, I wanted to put one room under my name (the studio) and one under my father's name (a 2 bdrm for my father/mother and my bro's family.) We got the rooms we wanted, however, the CM made me put one room under my name (studio) and one under my husband's name(2bdrm.)

There is only one problem...my dh, ds and I are staying 3 days longer and need the free dining longer than the ressie that his name is on for my father/mother and my brother's family. Can I fix this?? I asked the CM twice if there was a way around this and he said no. He made me put the people in the rooms like this:

Me, ds, and my brother in the studio for 9 nights

DH, my father/mother, sis-in-law and their 2 children in the 2bdrm for 6 nights

So my brother's key will have the 9 nights worth of credits for FD and my dh will only have 6 nights worth. Can I call and swap the names around?? Or could my dh use my brother's key from the beginning? The only issue there would be that it wouldn't open up our door. What would you guys do??

Only adults staying on the current res could book a bounceback. That is why you are in one room and your DH in another.
Sounds like what you are wanting is a separate res. Which I am sure will mean cancelling one of your bb rooms/res and having to rebook under a different package.

Swap the cards only. I would NOT try to untangle this large web of problems that this has created. All you need is for 1 CM to mess up and then you're gonna be even deeper in it. It might get fixed, it might not. Being Disney i'd tend to say that you'd eventually get it fixed, but i wouldn't take the chance. If a simple card swap will fix it, then so be it.

If you remember the name of the CM that booked it can you PM it to me please

While there have been a couple of posters on here that say you can book a room for each adult currently staying in anyone’s name (or at least a second + room in another adults name), everything I’ve ever read or heard, including from Disney itself, says you may only book one room per adult currently staying in those adults names. Not sure if I’m stating that clearly, but the CM who booked you gave you the correct information. Otherwise what is to stop me from making an agreement with my friend/another DISser/etc to book me a room along with themselves even though I’m not there for the current offer and won’t really be traveling with them during the bounceback trip? It’s a reasonable rule imho.

I’d have your DH keep his card for the duration of your mother/father/brother’s trip. Then, you could switch cards when your brother checks out for the remainder of your dining credits. He won’t be able to open the door, but maybe he could hang onto your DS’s key. I’m assuming that your DS will be with an adult and won’t have to have a key to himself ever where an adult might.

However, since others have had success with two rooms without a current adult staying name on the reservation, you could call Disney and ask; a CM might go ahead and do it for you. Hey, it might not help, but it won’t hurt! The worst they could say is no.

Why? To get him/her in trouble?

CM should have never done what he/she did. OP either did not know the rules or try a sneaky way around it.

Bottom line is you can book two rooms but only under the adult's name staying at the time the BB is booked. And it's not transferable.

Based on what was reserved, DH would be on the 6day room. Tickets are no problem as you can extend the tickets for that card for a few dollars. But dining would end. DBro will have 9days of tix on his card, and would actually loose 3 days of dining.

Cards are not transferable. Although I don't think they are routinely checked at the restaurants, the parks are a different story as they would do a fingerprint read.

Because I know alot of CM's in the res center and if I knew them I would have told them how to do this properly so it works out for the guest.

I booked a bounce back last september. Since we were two adults, we booked ours for 2008 and one for my brothers family - they couldnt come in 2007 and we were all bummed.

As it turns out, I couldnt go this year!

So he was there without me :( on the ressie - I booked for him.

***oh and additionally, back in July, before I even cancelled - he changed his dates by one day - different then mine and even changed resorts, again... different then mine! no problems.
