Our booking window opens soon and I am needing help. I have a reservation and a cabin for myself, my husband, and my 2 daughters. This will be our second Disney Cruise (after a very long break). My mom is traveling with us, but is in her own cabin and on her own reservation. This is her first Disney Cruise. So our booking window opens before hers. How do I handle this?

I’d like to book Palo brunch for my mom, my husband, and I. I know we can’t do that until her booking window opens. At that time, can I book one Palo reservation for all three of us even though we are spread across cabins? Is there any advantage to booking for 2 when my window opens and then trying to add her later?

I am also wanting to book the BBB for my daughters. Do I need to this at midnight?

How about character greetings? Arevthere meet and greets with tickets needed on every cruise? If so, how do I handle that so my mom can go with us?

Do I need to worry about general port adventures selling out before my mom can book? Is there any advantage to booking for four of us and trying to add her later?

Thanks!

I don't think that you need to worry about general port adventures. A lot of people strongly endorse the midnight attempt to get high demand items. Obviously as Silver you'll get what is left after the top 2 tiers have gone.

I'd recommend booking the reservation for the two of you and then trying to get a reservation for your mom later. You might find it hard just finding the brunch reservation for two; however, from what I've seen here it is not too hard to merge reservations if your mom can get a reservation later. (And if she can't, you can always try to add her first thing when you get on the ship.

Port adventures can sell out. You book the Princess and Frozen meet and greets when your window opens, all other ones you just show up for. If you want to go to a character breakfast, then you book that also when you window opens. I don't think all cruises have a character breakfast, I think they are only on 7 night and longer cruises, but not sure. If you have a certain time/day that you want to do BBB, then it would be best to do at midnight, if you don't care when you do it, then you could probably wait until the next morning. I've never had another cabin with someone else to book with, I would book all that you can for your family and then when your mom's window opens, try to get your mom's things at the same time as yours. Does your dh care about going to the character meets? If he doesn't care, then you could book for for yourself, him, and your dds when your window opens. If your mom can't get a ticket for the greets when her window opens, then she could just use your dh's ticket.

Most character picture opportunities are free and open to anyone who gets in line. Only certain princess meets & Frozen meets require advance booking.

PrincessSchmoo could best answer, but I thought if your reservations were linked, you can book for everyone...

If there are two linked rooms - room A(silver) with mom, dad, and kids and room B(first time DCL) with grandma
Room A's booking window opens at 90 days of from the cruise, while Room B's window opens at 75 days out.

When mom (or whoever) accesses room A's reservation to check in and book activities, when prompted to select the guests that the activity booking will apply to, while all the guests in both linked reservations will be listed, those guests whose window has not opened yet (grandma, in this case) will be grayed out (unselectable). Once grandma's window opens, she can be added to the reservation, IF there is room.

sorry, having computer problems. Had a suggestion, but after thinking about it, don't think it would work.
