We went to DL on Monday , Labor Day for my birthday. It was GREAT!
First thing we did was renew our AP's. Then as soon as we were inside the park I had my picture taken with Cruella De Ville and The Evil Queen.
Then we went to City Hall and I got my birthday button. I was offered my birthday call from Goofy on the phone on the counter and that was pretty great:lmao: After that, we went to get a fast pass for Indy. Then we rode the HM. After that we went to Rancho Del Zocolo for Dinner. Delicious as always. We both had the Enchiladas. After that we went to see Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. While we were waiting for the show to start, waiting in the back, all the seats were taken, I watched 2 girls get up from the front and walk out. I heard them say that they wanted to see the show but had to go. Well, there were 2 other women sitting at their huge table. I walked up to the front and asked them if any of the other 5 seats were all taken and they said we could join them! So instantly, we had front row seats! So, thank you Ladies! The show was great! And Dfi bought me their CD. After that, we went and rode the Mark Twain River boat. While waiting, we asked the Captain, how they chose the people to ride in the Wheel house. He asked us up and we got to ride in the wheel house of the River Boat!! Orlando the Capt. was so amazing:banana: .I had made PS reservations at Cafe Orleans for 7pm. We showed up at around 630. We were seated at 635! How cool is that? We were still kind of full from dinner so we ordered dessert. We had begiets and Chocolate soufle. Our watier Sean even brought me out a special beneit with a candle in it and sang me happy birthday! After that we rode HM again. And then watched the fireworks on Main St. .Then we walked onto BTMRR! After that we watched FANTASMIC! I didnt know that it was the last night for a while so we felt very lucky to have caught it.
We were right in the middle and had great view of it all. Then we walked right onto Pirates. After that, we wanted to ride the train. So, when we got there, we had asked how it would be possible to ride the Lillie belle private car. The engineers Evelyn and Lauren really really bent over backwards to get us on that private train car.
By then the park is closed. We rode around the park in the beautiful private car. It was luxurious and beautiful. To finish off the night , Dfi bought me a souvineer Disney glass and the new Collectible Nightmare before Christmas CD.
So, with literally NO CROWDS , great food, and exceptional personal experiences with fantastic CM's , and a great day with my honey, it truly was an amazing Birthday!

Awww, sounds like a wonderful birthday trip.

Mark Twain Wheelhouse, Lily Belle, front row at the Hillbillies (LOVE them!) and a call from Goofy (hehe)! Glad you had a wonderful trip!

Are those things always available for those that ask, or was this something extra they did for your birthday because you happen to be lucky with the timing of things and the nice CMs?

It is interesting (and encouraging) to hear that it was not crowded on Labor Day - a major holiday. We had already heard that attendance was down this summer - probably due to the economy, unemployment and gas prices - but it was beginning to look as if this coming Fall season was going to be quite crowded, with all the special hotel rates and things floating around. Now I am thinking that it might just be slightly more crowded than the usual Fall season, but still not that bad overall. Now, if only the low attendance can last through the whole holiday season!

That's awesome!! I so wanted to be there last weekend but we just couldn't afford it. :( I'm so glad you got to go and had such a great time!!

Yes, they are available to those who ask. We asked. The lillie bell took some doing on their part because of CM scheduling but it was soooo worth it.
We had such a great time! I mean this is one of those DL trips that will stick in my mind for ever.
Thanks for all the good wishes Everyone!:wizard:
