I know you all are tired of my whining and complaining but i'm just so sad right now. I had planned my birthday trip for this weekend with my little sister. And now I have to cancel. I ran 65 auctions on ebay which were going to end tonight (were doing VERY VERY well might I add) to make a very nice trip and have tons left over to save. Well, for absolutely no reason at all, ebay suspended my account. I have good feedback, was totally up to date on my bill, ect. There was NO reason to be suspended.

So i'm not going to be getting that money therefore my trip is cancelled. Nice huh?

I'm sorry to hear you have to cancel.....this probably would not have happened though if maybe you hadn't had to rely on money received from auctions and had put the money aside well before hand. You kind of set yourself and little sis up for dissappointment, no?

Are you sure you didn't open one of those scam ebay emails saying they suspended your account? I get those all the time. Same for paypal.
Sorry, that stinks.

I have had my ebay account suspended also. Apparently someone hacked into my account stole my passwords and started all kinds of auctions in my name. I had to call ebay, answer like 15 'personal' questions, and my account was back up and running! So try calling ebay...or doing the live chat that they have.

No I didn't "set myself up" because it was a sure thing. I make very good money on ebay and was able to plan the trip based on this. I sell often and do well often. So no, that wasn't the problem... I have the money right now, but it's in savings, not to use on a weekend trip. The ebay sales were put up JUST for the trip... again, a sure thing.

No, it was through ebay, not an email notice so it's for real. I tried live help and they were a joke, couldn't help at all. And she refused to give me a phone number and I can't find one. She insists that they ONLY deal with this stuff via email. But any problem i've ever had I dealt with email and it took 3 days just to get a response and the response was usually asking for some sort of info they already had and then had to wait another 3 days to hear back again and goes on and on until I give up.

I googled ebay's phone number and this is what I came up with. Maybe it will help:
* 1-800-322-9266
* 1-888-749-3229

If you want to use snail mail:

2145 Hamilton Avenue, # 350
San Jose, CA 95125

Their company hours are 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Pacific time.
Good luck.

If the OP's GM hadn't gone thru her house throwing everything out including checks, the OP would have had more money for this trip.

Sorry that this has been such a terrible week for you. :grouphug:

Don't you think it would have been better to just end your post with "i'm sorry to hear you have to cancel"??

THe rest of it was not necessary...especially if you do not know the OP...

Woah! Backup please, it wasn't my intent to make the OP feel miserable, it was to point out the fact that selling on ebay is never a "sure thing" and that perhaps being more prepared would have ensured OP was going to be able to go either way....geesh!

I'm sorry about your trip. 65 auctions at once. :faint: I hope things work out for you.

Well, my point was that i think you could have been a little more sensitive to the OP situation...
I don't think making a point right now is what she needed...
Would you want to "hear" that if the shoe was on the other foot?
She is obvioulsy upset about the situation and doesn't need to have facts pointed out right now...

It's turning out I wouldn't have been able to go anyway. My sister just called me, she is 29 weeks pregnant. Last night she went to the ER because she was dehydrated, she wasn't feeling well and couldn't eat and drink. They kept giving her iv fluids and after each one she came out more dehydrated but they finally let her go at 3am. So she just called me again, she went to the ob/gyn today for a follow up and they are sending her back to the hospital because her blood pressure is WAY to high and she is swollen and with the headaches and all, they are suspecting pre eclampsia. So not sure what is going to happen, but she is newly divorced and has 2 sons. Their dad and my sisters boyfriend both work and my grandmother isn't feeling well and my mom and little sister are heading to Orlando tomorrow (we were going to meet up on Sat) but it only leaves me to watch the boys. So that's how i'll be spending my weekend.

I hope your sister will be OK and that you can take this trip some other time. Never need a reason to go to Disney :teeth:

Have to say that I thought your post was a little harsh also! Not all of us are wealthy and we do what we can she was just selling stuff to take a trip not to survive.

Well I called the number that redshoes provided, thanks for it. They really didn't want to talk to me via the phone but I told them how upset I was and needed it fixed NOW. So back and forth and I find they really dont have any reason for the suspension, they said that I would have to email trust and safety personally to find out but they suspected from notes in my account it had something to do with hacking but I know that NO ONE hacked my account... i'd know wouldn't I?

Anyway, even though they screwed up, there was NO way to replace the auctions they cancelled and I had to do all 63 over again. I am still so ticked off. It took me ALL afternoon but I got it done. But still too little too late for the trip this weekend because even running 3 day auctions wouldn't end until Sat night. And no, I really can't go another time any time soon anywhere near my birthday because our Disney tickets are blacked out until the end of summer and the Universal ticket offer expires next week. Boo hoo for me huh? Oh well, maybe next year will be my birthday year... i'll be turning 30, more reason to celebrate huh!

Oh and my sister is ok, no pre eclampsia.... she was sent home with an anti nausia medication and she already feels better after the rehydration. And her ex is taking the kids the rest of the week into the weekend.

Sorry about the bad week and annoyances you have had to deal with. At least your sister is ok :)
