Wowsers...I just realized my 26th birthday is creeping up on me FAST! I was born on September 15th, the same day as my bf's mom! That was a great bonding moment when we realized we had the same birthday :)

What do you guys do to celebrate your birthday? I'm probably going to end up working since I need the moola. Actually, come to think of it, I've worked every single one of my birthdays for the last 5 years! Hehehehe :)

What do ya'll do?

26 is not old, dear. You're 2 years younger than I am!

For my b-day, 2 days after Halloween, we usually visit Salem, MA and spend a day looking around the shops and fall foliage with Monty. Then we have a nice lunch.

On my BF's b-day, mid summer, we usually do something closer to home, like dinner with friends at a local resteraunt.

OK, if 26 is "getting" old does that mean my turning 31 is just old?

I am going to end up working my birthday too, it falls on a Saturday and I don't have the hours to take off. Since it is Labor Day weekend, and I have to work on Friday night too, we will probally just go out for dinner on Sunday.

We normally just go to a nice palce, just the two of us, but we take the kids to Chi-Chis for their birthdays. Growing up, that is what my parents did, the birthday kid got to pick where we went.

LOL..26? Pahlease, you are still wet behind the ears child! (jk;))... (you share my best friends birthday, she will be 30!!)

My birthday is TOMORROW...woohoo, yep, the big 38...been waiting all my life for this one...I have no idea what we will do to celebrate this MAJOR event...but we are having a picnic on Sunday with all of my crazy sibs and mom...so that will be fun...

:sunny:

Are you kidding me? You guys make me laugh!

I just turned 42! I am 8 years from 50 and roughly half way to dead!!!!

Look at things in perspective...NO! not my perspective.
You have your whole lives to live so get out there and live it!
Have a great time! Enjoy it while you are young.

Happy Birthday Ladies :bday: but I have you all beat. I turned 42 on my last birthday  . Most days I forget how old I really am, having a 4yo will do that to you ;) . If I do say myself I look and feel better than when I was 26. Don't worry about getting older - keep remembering that the best is yet to come :teeth: .

I do the one thing I hate most-shop.:p My birthday is December 26th (if you think 26 is old, just think how ancient I'll be when I turn 35 this year;)). We hit all the after Christmas sales on my birthday. And, my mom takes me out to eat.:) I also take down our Christmas tree that day.

I've only worked on my bday 1 time in my life. It wasn't so bad.

I get naked and go streaking. Keeps me feeling young!

I have shoes almost as old as you (well, almost:D ). Happy Birthday! if you're old then I'm in big trouble :earseek: My birthday is in the summer, so I'm usually on vacation . Whatever you do-have fun!!

I turn 43 on 8/25, next Wednesday. I love birthdays :cake: . We won't be doing anything special the day of my birthday because I have a rehearsal at church and it's a week day and we all have to work. Hopefully that weekend, it'll be dinner out, shopping, maybe go to my inlaws to visit my FIL who just had surgery. Not a lot, but it's all about me, and that's what I love. If the weather's nice, we make take a ride on the motorcycle :moped: or go to the zoo :fish: (one of my favorite things to do). I definately get presents, which, IMHO, is the best part. I am such a kid when it comes to presents.

So, :bday: , Steph, and have a great day too!!!!

Glad I finnished my drink before I read your post!!! :rotfl:

Normally I don't do anything special. It was different when I was still home (Cleveland) but it's not the same since I moved. I work if it's a week day. Actually one year I had to work on my birthday when it was a Saturday. That really sucked. This year I hit the big 3-0. I've been dreading this for years and so I decided I didn't want to be around anyone anywhere near to my birthday that would do the stupid over the hill stuff. So for the first time ever I am taking two straight weeks off work (that alone is a thrill) and I'm going to WDW. I figure where else can I go and not feel my age? Now I've got this weird push/pull going on. I want my trip to hurry up and get here, but I don't want to turn 30 any sooner than I have to. It's all very confusing.

I just spit my hot chocolate all over my keyboard. LOL, that was so funny.

Stepharoonie, Happy Birthday, whatever you do, just enjoy your day.

Happy Birthday to everyone else too :D

I'm turning the big 3-0 this December and I have a feeling DH is going to do something.

My birthday is Dec 29th and I get forgotten every year. It used to upset and depress me a lot. My own parents would go away on my birthday and I'd be home alone.

Now we usually go out to eat on my birthday. I never take the day off. the sunday after my birthday is normally a cake at my parents. My Mother takes my sister and I to see a show at PPAC for my present

This year I'm going to WDW 3wks before my birthday for the weekend with friends - no DH. That'll be my present to myself.
