I'm not going to argue with whether it's moral or not to miss your FP window. If the CM's would start enforcing the window, then I wouldn't cry or yell about it...I'd adjust my schedule.
The thing that is funny is that not alot of people know about this little fact.
Another quick story....we were on the bus to MGM last Friday in the late afternoon after returning to our room for a mid-afternoon break. My DS5 found a ball of crumpled up paper and of course, being the child that he is wanted to know what it was. It ended up being 6 Fast Passes to Tower of Terror that had a window of 4pm to 5pm that day. It was about 6:30pm at the time. I guess the people figured the window had expired and the passes were useless, so they crumpled them up and left them on the bus. We proceeded to use 4 of the passes and gave the other 2 away to a couple getting ready to stand in the 90+ minute stand-by line....it was great!
Anyway...over our 8 days stay with 7 days in the 4 major parks...we were never turned down once for missing our FP window.....even with an AM time for Space Mountain and returning at 7pm at night....
If they change the system....I'll adjust....but, as for now....this is a great tip to help save you from doing extra walking and backtracking in the park.
Again...I cannot stress the importance of getting to the park BEFORE opening. I know it's not fun to wake up early on vacation...but, we fell into a great pattern of getting there early....returning in the afternoon for a 2 hour nap...and getting back to the park for the evening for more riding and shows. The hardest part is leaving the park at mid-day. You just feel like you want to stay there all day and get your money's worth....but, that 2 hr nap in the mid-afternoon works wonders for everyone's mood in the evening.
