And I am thrilled for her! Not as thrilled as if I were going myself, but still, I am so very happy for my buddy and her family. :)

They're flying down on Easter Sunday and staying through the week. A relative hooked them up with a time-share type rental in a resort called Silver Lake. Sounds vaguely familiar--maybe I caught the name in a trip report or two.

Anyway, I've got all kinds of tips and hints for her. Feel free to tack yours onto this thread, if you'd like.

It'll be her, her husband and 2 sons--13 and 7 year-olds. The 13 year-old went when he was 5, and the 7 year-old has never been.

How great! I wish I had a trip at Easter :)

Very cool!! Hope they have a super time! We will just miss them, we are leaving on the 17th..but driving:(

Pop Daddy! Shame on you!

There is a slight chance that I will be there that week myself, but (without going into some very depressing details) if I am, it won't be for a happy reason. :(

I told her on arrival night, they should have dinner at Chef Mickey's, then head up to the Contemporary's observation desk to see the MK fireworks.

But as I'm typing this, I'm realizing their odds of getting into Chef Mickey's on Easter Sunday are pretty slim.

We'll figure things out. I have already signed on to being her cyber tour guide.

If you can't plan your own trip, find someone else's to plan! That my motto! :p Hope they have a great trip!
