For some reason this phrase annoys me :confused3
my dd starting saying awhile back. now i see a commercial for RV
and Robin Williams says it.

Is there any phrase that just rubs you the wrong way?

Tons of them, actually. "My bad" is certainly one of them. I hate the too-hip-for-the-room phrases like "I'm trying to wrap my mind around that". Uuugggg!

My dh does not like "Have a good one", he always tell me "Have a good what?". I tell him to ask the person saying it!

I agree with 'my bad' - I don't get it - I want it to go away.

Hearing any phrase for too long gets to me after a while....

Is that your final answer?
Deal or No Deal?
Makinnnnnnn Coppppppppieeeeeeeeees

There are just too many to list.

I can't stand the "Good news, I just saved a bundle off my car insurance."

I'll take "my bad" over this, any day!

My ex use to say "Peace out" to his friends on the phone or "bra-meaning bro".

It was over used the first time it was used. It's a stupid phrase.

Oh, I hate "my bad," too.

I started a rant thread about this a long time ago. The one that really annoyed me at the time was "back in the day." I just HATE this phrase and I always want to say, "Which day? June 12, 1958?"

what's that one that I can never remember 6 or 1/2 dozen????

THat's 6 of 1 or 1/2 a dozen of another.

The one that grates on my nerves is 'pretty much'. DD says that all the time.

a phrase that drives me nuts is (I assume) a local new england phrase, "so don't I." I've only heard a handful of people use it, but it drives me nuts...they mean, "so do I." I love my mil, she's a wonderful woman, but omg, she says it often and its one of those things that makes zero sense to me. lol.

I just realized this was a hip thing to say. I thought it was a type O on the boards. I do not like it at all. Now I'm hearing middle age men say it. lol

I guess we're getting old when the popular catch-phrases are annoying. Come to think of it, they annoyed me when I was young...

I think that "stupid is as stupid does" and "stuck on stupid" will never become over used. :rotfl2:

I hate when other word out of someone's mouth is like or ya know. Even worse "like ya know". It drives me crazy.

The problem with "my bad" is that it is supposed to mean "I'm sorry" but it surely doesn't sound as nice!

I'm finally getting DS (8) to stop it!

Blame it on Alicia Silverstone. Until she said it in "Clueless", nobody had really ever heard it I don't think. She started a sort of new "Valley Girl" trend with phrases like:

Oops..my bad!
I'm outtie!
Buggin'
Way (whatever)

And those are only the ones I can come up with right now. :smokin:

Me, I love the phrase "My Bad". Use it all the time! :rotfl: But what I can't stand is when my neighbor's wife goes "Shoot!" and he goes "Bangbang!" witha ' gun' made out of his fingers. That drives me crazy.
