I just dropped my DD12 off for her first day of field hockey practice. She starts at the middle school on Wednesday, and I've been a little nervous as it's a huge regional school. I hung around a little while , then told her I was leaving, and I get  from her with " it's okay mom"

sigh................. she's not my little girl any more

She will always be your baby. I'm 43yo and my mother is 81yo and I'm still her baby. :teeth:

Our babies grow up so quickly, don't they? It will be alright, mom.

I`m really dreading this... Next Wednesday my youngest starts secondary school:( :( i am so so worried,, her older sister went up last september & i was`nt as worried, as she is a bubbly, outgoing, girl with no problem with change... She was ready to leave primary school. Youngest DD is a different story... She has severe dyslexia & other problems with maths.. She is young for her age, & i just hope she will be able to cope... I suppose i`m doing all this worrying needlessly, but cannot help it... I have since lost 14lbs in weight & am not sleeping very well.:( :( :( this as been in the last 7 weeks of the school holidays... To make things worse i start back at my school the day before(tuesday) so cannot even have the last day of her holiday off:( :( :( ...Sorry to unburden myself here, but feel better for doing so...I suppose we just have to let them make thier own way in life :)

I feel your pain! My oldest DD started high school just a couple of weeks ago and I worried about her all day.
My baby is 7 yrs. old today. If only we could slow time down just a little bit.

My 'baby' will be 9 in October. Times flies.

She'll always be my baby no matter how old she is.princess:

I know how you feel. I dropped my "baby" off for his first year in High School!! Sure he's 6'4, but he's still my baby and I hope he gets along well with all the upper classmen!!!:D
