He has pulled through well. Hi throat seems ok and he has had a drink already. But he wants the bandages off of his hands and is crying that they hurt. They had to take more skin off of his tummy than they thought they would for the skin grafting.

But he is overall doing very well.

Wonderful news! I hope that they can give him something for the pain so that he can rest comfortably (and then mom can too).

I'm so glad to hear he made it through surgery well. I hope and pray he has a quick and complete recovery. Kids seem to bounce back so much faster than adults with these kinds of things.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. My little guy was scheduled for surgery on tuesday. Unfortunatly we had to cancel because he is very sick. I know how tough it is. Its so hard to be strong sometimes. I never believed my mom when she said things like "its harder on me than it is on you" I sure believe her now. I will be thinking of you.

Man I can't wait to get home.

I was woken up several times the few times I did get to sleep. I can probably count a total of 3 hours' sleep. It will be SO much more comfortable at home.

He is getting pain meds every 4 hours but it really wears off after 3, so he is in pain right now. Poor kid.

Can you tell I am in need of sleep? I get whiney!

We are home. I took a mini-nap in the LazyBoy while holding him and then have been able to clean some. People are coming over to see him which is WONDERFUL, but it is stressfull too since the house isn't quite up to par for visitors!

He had a hard time after his meds wore off but have redosed him with tylenol with codine (sp?) and he should be fine.

Just a word of advise with the skin graft. When DS's hip was healing (from where they took the skin), it became very itchy. Be sure to keep the lotion on it! DS rubbed it off quickly and he his skin is not too smooth from rubbing it so much.

I hope he bounces back quickly!
